Re: windows phone
I tend to get SQL server ads, just waiting for the ads on SSAS/MDX to come through as that is what all my latest searches through Bing are on!

No handset on a GSM network needs activating, it is the SIM that needs activating. Not like CDMA where the handset needs bonding to your account.
Anyway, CPW have said that all their stock is registered on the Blacklisting Sytems so most of the robbed mobiles will not work in this country anyway. Time to look on Ebay for UK listings that are not being targeted at the local market as there is no global blacklist of IMEIs and they will work abroad.
Gone are the days when you could reprogram a handset's IMEI...
Facebook messenger is already integrated into the OS (As of Mango anyway). I already chat to the wife via threaded FB and texts from my phone, I just don't have to "Have An App For That" rather "It Just Works". Plus WP7 has Live messenger integrated as well, therefore I have a much better overall experience unified in the OS.
seems more of an upgrade than this iPhone update! Runs fast, smooth and just the way i like. Never have to use the stylus, and if you actually understand the reason behind having a Resistive stylus capable screen over a capacitive no stylus capability screen then you would understand. WinMo is V big in Asia where people use the stylus to write using the transcribing function. It can even understand MY handwriting (I find it hard to read).

I totally agree with you, HTC's EzInput 2.0 looks even better than EzInput 1.5 (which you probably have, get the upgrade from xda devs).
Anyway, I would generally have thought that this keyboard layout would have been likened to the Blackberry Pearl 15 key keyboard. How old is that and how is this news? Unless it is the fact that someone has made a touchscreen keyboard for Android, then you should have focussed the news article on that portion of the story.
