Euro cops cuff 112 in paedophile network raids

Don't forget to distinguish between what the Reg reports and what the Europol press release acutally says:

“Law enforcement agencies have to work together to combat the growing threat of cybercrimes against children, and we have to use the most advanced technology available. The complexity is huge and challenging - for example one of the Danish suspects had 29 terabytes of data that we confiscated. This is an incredible amount of data for our investigators to handle. To put it into perspective, that could hold about 9000 hours of high-quality video,” says Jens Henrik Hoejbjerg, Danish National Commissioner of Police.

@Sir

Any 'backdoor' would only need to be a reporting agent they could query in the firmware. I doubt any serious IT organisation would have a system where they would have to actively connect to each router and query its device table.

Google location tracking can invade privacy, hackers say

The phone asks for specific permission when you first start it up, its part of the Setup process. You still need the wireless MAC address to get a physical address back and the idea that someone who's breached your network would at that point need to use Google to get your address is laughable.

Seriously guys, when you are sat there with apps knowing your current location, filling in web forms with your home address and what you had for tea last night did you really think it was all just magic? Or do you just maybe, there's might just be a little data mining going on.

As for the Appletards trying to crow about how Android is just as bad as iPhone. This changes nothing; you still bought the inferior product. Get over it.

Ahhh

So systems that aren't connected to the internet may have been compromised by some unspecified scale attacks on systems that are.

Still, at least you can claim PNC may have been compromised. But oh wait, that's hosted by NPIA in Hendon as are almost all national police systems. So even if someone had breached a force internet connection they'd still have to breach the NPIA's via it and the CJX.

Never mind Chris, you've now got an excellent piece of Daily Fail for your resumé.

Both BT and BE quoted estimated line speed when I asked them. BT reckoned around 1 Mb on ADSL and BE around 4Mb on ADSL2+. I get between 4 and 5 now its installed and an far happier than I ever was on Virgin when I was getting 20Mb/s for an hour a day, then 5 for the rest.

@Bad Fish. Its because BE use ADSL2+, an improved version of ADSL. Nothing to do with BT being crap I'm afraid.
