How about investing into the core business like decent editors, moderators and decent image recognition for monitoring content instead.
Zuckerberg will do that the very instant you'll explain to him how that is going to make him more money than the controversy of leaving it in place does. I can't see it happen otherwise.
At the end of September is the Security exhibition in Germany's Essen, and apart from exhibitionists you can find dodgy stuff like a camera that auto-tracks faces. No idea what it does with multiple faces, but that's what facial recognition is for if you can couple it to multiple feeds.
This *needs* regulation, but done by people that have a clue, which by default excludes the people who currently make it.
Somehow that scene from Austin Powers with the Steamroller comes to mind.....

Actually, you will only have found whatever has been speculated. What seems to have been missed by all and sundry (for, against and neutral) is that the story of the women has not yet been told in a court of law.
The only party that has been relentlessly in the press is Assange, and methinks he doth protests too much for there not to be another, as yet untold angle to this.
There is a reason that Assange seems to be more frightened of his previous beloved Sweden than even the UK legal system, and we all know that the BS about fear of extradition to the US is just that, BS, because that was a LOT easier in the UK.
In all the gigabytes spoken, speculated and argued about this, the actual story from the two women themselves has not been heard. Not because it was drowned, but because it has as yet not been told, at all.
It may pay to keep that in mind.

Vulnerabilities in electronic voting are actually very, VERY old news (think 30+ years) with a surprisingly aggressive resistance to any openness. If you look at the work that people like Dr Rebecca Mercuri have done on the topic you can only conclude that no government actually wants a trustworthy election process..
I tell people all of the time that "Social Media" is a treasure trove for nefarious individuals. The usual reply is "It won't happen to me" or "I am too smart for my information to get out". When will they learn. If businesses can make money out of their information the business will sell it to the highest bidder (or anyone that is prepared to pay what is being asked).
Yes, those smart people who don't realise that even if THEY are careful, they cannot prevent the abuse of that giant barn size backdoor in privacy law: you can't prevent your "friends" giving away your data. That was, for instance, in my opinion, the goal of WhatsApp et al: grabbing address books.

It's not (yet) been reported in the UK press, but they've just had to recall another 1.6M vehicles in the US as they had Takata airbags fitted (it's about vehicles manufactured between 2006 and 2011). That brings the total recall (Hi Arnie) for Toyota to about 4.7M vehicles, but that's not where this story ends.
(if case you're wondering, the problem is that high exposure to humidity can cause these airbags to explode with too much force, which results in shrapnel being thrown into the interior).

It's been replaced last year (Oct 2015) by the Consumer Rights Act (click on the link for quite a good guide to its implications), but as far as I know there has never been talk about an explicit 6 year term but a more vague "reasonable expected duration" for something to work (I think, don't have the time to look it up right now).
That is one of the things the new Consumer Rights Act addresses with a tiered rights model that now also includes digital content, delivery periods and even services - worth a read as price reduction penalties can reach up to 100%.
What is significant is that this Act also incorporates Unfair Contract Terms aspects such as hidden charges and imbalance of rights. This could get quite interesting for subscription based services that don't deliver...
One in the chamber is fine, no safety is fine (See Glock, SD et al) but a proper holster that covers the trigger is a must. Also, ankle holsters are crap except in very particular circumstances

Honestly, WTF are these people thinking? Writing something like that into law is, well, "delusional" is probably the most polite word for it.
What you want is a "you're about to crash" flashing LED. I suggest using a 555 for that...
Given the customary 99.999(etc) % profit margin made on such work I think you may be using too many parts. You can get LEDs that have all the flash circuitry built in, so it's a resistor and such an LED, done :).
