not really too hard to remember surely? im sure most gamers know where they are. i even can play PC FPS etc without looking at my kb. not too difficult either for anyone who can touch type.

slightly tweaking someone else's script is a fair bit different from writing something original yourself.

all i was saying is that i was disappointed with the town, maybe because i heard how excellent it was. character building is fine if you dont think the main characters are just tossers who deserve what they get
i would say im a film buff. i have hundreds of BR disks and thousands of DVDs and a £5k home cinema system. i dont really watch TV but i do like my films, so i feel that i can say if i dont like a movie or it is overrated.
any normal techie knows just to close the window... not rocket science.... or are you on console?
and you cant class a whole game down to lobby.. but then again no real FPS player plays on console. i will stick with superb gfx and 64 players thanks :)
i have to say i dont like battelog - seems like a faff to me
many people think bf2142 was the best in the series. much better than bc1 & bc2 and more FUN than bf2.
did you even play it? it wasnt all future laser pistols like many think. it also had the best teamwork ive seen in ANY BF game (this includes bf3 & 2)
uncharted is a great game though
BF3 gets marked down for its SP yet the MP is much better than WM3.
the vast majority of gamers on these 2 games play the SP to complete and never play it again (in fact i doubt many even play the SP)
BF has always been about MP. you say they are similar when in fact PC BF3 has so much more scope its untrue.
i guess the reviewer is a die hard COD guy and never actually played on 64 man servers with tanks, helicopters, jets and buildings being blown up. oh, and all controlled by the players, not scripted.
im starting to sound like a fanboy here but ive just found COD games to be brainless camper fests. i prefer teamwork and squad play on a big scale. sandbox is the way to go, not scripted.
2 years ago i replaced my beloved yammy with a denon 1910. i went with denon as yammy had dropped in quality but i have to say i miss it. it just sounded better than the denon. the DSP modes were much better, the 5.1 stereo sounded better than the denon. the Compressed Music Enhancer sounds better for MP3s. i just needed HDMI for blu-ray and trueHD sound etc
im now thinking of swapping back but im not sure the yammy now has enough inputs for my need
we tend to use the ps3 for streaming mp3s from NAS box as my son loves watching the globe screensaver it uses. its a shame there is no NAS ethernet/wireless capabilities :(
the consoles are basically the same as the PC running on low settings. on ultra they do look outstanding... im glad i wasted £350 on a 580GTX and was happy that my overclocked q9550 quad core @ 3.33Ghz didnt need to be updated.
the game is good fun. but it somehow feels like a step down from my fave FPS of all time: BF2142. that was a much more intense game and even though bf3 can do 64 players in conquest mode it often feels like you are searching for enemies rather than running into 20+ enemies with your squad and having big fire fights.
im not sure if the cowardliness of modern gamers is to blame or the lack of teamwork. squads have been crippled with silly little 4 man squads again and very few options to create and join etc. also, there are still too many snipers IMO
i guess teamwork action gaming is dying out, brink was massive fun but seemed to die quickly :(. people seem to prefer to camp and get easy kills than use skills to kill. its a shame.
to me its being dumbed down a lot over the years.
i still find bf2142 the most fun game of the series. great teamwork, fun weapons, great gadgets (shields and emp nades! :)), very few snipers (so planty of action), titan mode (still possibly the best fps game mode ever) and of course the walkers were great.
so many people thought it was too futuristic without playing it. in fact it wasnt close to halo future and was all feasible stuff.
i admit i missed bf2 as i was working on a mod for UT but i did get bf2142 and the commander was vital for co-ordination.
its so hard now to tell where you are needed and ends up 32 headless chickens running around. it doesnt help nobody seems to understand squads any more either. i still wish 6 man sqauds were in!
BF isnt made for consoles. get it on pc where there are 40 more players.
anyway, i had issues on thursday night where activation took hours. bt then i got in via a korean proxy.
a few bugs like CTD and squad system being terrible but hopefully it will be fixed.
to the guys above: bad company 1 & 2 arent proper battlefield games, they are cut down console ports.
i still think they are going the wrong way - 4 man squads are rubbish and comms are poor too. but the main problems are the scummy snipers and lonewolves, who ruin the game. if you dont want to play teamwork fuck off back to COD.

to me, if students are too stupid to set facebook to private viewing then they dont deserve a job. their degree was most likely worthless (as most are these days)

On the ps3 sonice all stars racing is one of the most fun racing games since mario kart, in fact probably better once you get the hang of boosting and triple boosting etc. great tracks and once you get the hand of it you can boost and really fly around the track. plus the challenges are great fun. try getting all A+++! :)
i was lucky enough to get a free iphone4. to be honest, after using this phone, i would never buy an apple product.
the wife has a HTC desire. it does everything this one does. and a lot more. i hate the fact i have to really use itunes to do anything. even making a ringtone is a pain in the arse!

also, £700 for an i3 laptop? i just got one for someone at work that was £450 for an i5 2410m with 4Gb RAM
hook up a ps3 and nas box to your stereo (or forget the nas if you dont have >80Gb music). not a bad way to do it and you get a blu-ray player, internet & game console too! plus the ps3 remote is Bluetooth so i can use it outside in the garden! :)
a ps3 can even stream from a windows machine. the sound is pretty good and it doesnt make much noise when playing music, compared to the annoying whine of playing optical media (i have a dedicated bdp for that anyway)
pah, BF3 PC will be the best FPS this year, and next... back to 64 players, with jets and tanks etc. i cant wait! hopefully its not just bc3 with 64 players as BC2 was a bit of car crash IMO
i must admit i did enjoy kz3 with the sharpshooter & PSMove. its a nice bit of immersion playing with an actual gun :)
but FPS is still PC territory really.
