you will always hit a point of diminishing returns. depending on people's hearing and eyesight.

some people cant differentiate 1080p to 720p. others dont appreciate surround. is 11.2 really better than 5.1/7.1?

etc.... all i can say is that each time i have upgraded there has been a noticeable improvement. although im not sure how much i would have to now spend to double the quality again. around £20k i would assume

its the same with cars. you can get an insanely fast car for £50k and then spend £1m and its not 20x faster (or even close)

i think we dont need to evolve physically due to our intellect. we can adapt to our surroundings with clothing and fire and we can eat a massive variety of foods.

i can see 1080p fine on my 42" screen and can easily spot the difference between 1080 and 720. im looking forward to 4k it will make things look almost lifelike :) it will be a while though.

they said they couldn't prove the actions killed him. not that it wasn't down the to the actions. a massive difference.

i have to agree.

i had to download a couple of episodes of a TV series today as they had failed on my Tivo.

do i feel guilty? fuck no. ive already paid for access to that TV station and its not my fault my hardware buggered up.

as you say, stealing is wrong. but what about cloning? what about if you had no intention of buying in the first place?

i dont download pirated movies and music as i can afford to buy them, so i do. but they cant think that everyone who pirates would have bought the media in the first place.

the vast majority of dog owners pick up their dog mess. certainly around us they do. maybe if you live on a council estate you might be less lucky with all the chavdog poo...

no, i have tried to stop her chasing cats but its instinct. dogs see the garden as theirs. if an animal climbs in to piss or shit in my garden the dog goes mental and chases it. the cats know a dog lives there but still comes in. IMO it deserves what it gets if the dog catches it. she has never bitten anyone or another animal.

ive never met a trained cat, i wouldnt dream of opening my front door and letting the dog wonder where it likes, like almost all (if not all) cat owners do. it must be a different female cat that comes in (there are about 3). they all live within a few houses of us so they might think its their turf. either way its pissing me off and im getting sick of them winding the dog up.

when you look at everyone paying council tax and the lack of any real work done by them you see why they have so much money.

dont even get me started on roads. every time they do something they make it worse. its also taking 18 months to build 0.75miles of additional road to our crappy southern bypass near lincoln as they are making it dual carriage for less than a mile. brilliant! :( in that time the 10miles or so i drive twice daily averages 20mph

we are also supposed to be finally getting a full ring road and not a semi-circle but due to funds it will be single carriage, so limited to 40mph thanks to lorries

then there was the recent debacle around the xmas market where they moved all the salt up-hill to help the tourists, forgetting to leave any down hill, which meant every hill got iced up and the whole city came to a stand still. i had to ditch the car and walk home from work.

its not a bad place to live but roads are a nightmare. a lot of people say we have one of the worst road systems in the country.

fps on consoles is crap with controllers when you are used to mouse and keys. killzone 3 was loads of fun with the move. i also bought the sharp shooter rifle attachment. great fun!

why on earth would they allow you to play ps4 games from a ps3? surely that will lose them money and stop people buying the ps4. especially since it will not be able to recreate the graphics or latency so it will appear to look much worse and play worse, most likely turning people away.

4k 3d games shouldnt require much extra bandwidth. maybe bigger textures.... not that anyone can afford a 4k tv yet let alone a 4k projector!

i was referring to the TV tax (license) which they want everyone to pay. im not hard up so i pay for virgin and sky sports HD. if i wanted to i could stop using them. i just feel sorry for people on the bread line who are forced to pay £145 for a couple of channels. i actually watch a fair bit of BBC so i dont mind paying the license, plus the mrs always has radio2 on. the BBC do nature programs and comedy better than anyone else so i think i get my moneys worth from them.
