That Lock has alot of spirit
As an alliance it is my duty to hunt him down like a dog - spirit indeed
beaten to it I see
I have my Google contacts synched on my iphone;the trick is to set it up as a microsoft exchange server with the server as m.google.com
You can also do this with Virgin and Sky email as they are run by google also
Warcraft and Virgin issues also!!
This happened with Warcraft also (also an Activision game) and there were 26 pages on their forum from Virgin customers about this.
My latency went through the roof and would only allow me to play without doing raids ...all the lovely virtual gold I lost :(
Also my vote would be stranger in a strange land which is an amazing book;although thinking about it some of it seems ideal as a film but then I think it might kill some of the magic of the story trying to capture it like that.
Drinks all round - thanks guys
The best present ever from all Reg readers for me - a really nice comprehensive list of great sci-fi books - many thanks:)
loving the 70s sci-fi case alot
very pretty tablet - personally I was tempted by that Archos 101 review last week
Flash?Do you want some crayons with that?
I had EXACTLY the same experience looking for a cylinder head for my Aprilia scooter. All the parts sites used identical databases and really similar pricing too which was a little annoying when you are paying for such an expensive part.
Reference materials are one of the most powerful uses for the internet - I have no idea why one of the commenters above would say non-story;it isnt all about making money from traffic, some sites are too specific to need that stuff
Probly not going to be a big party for this one though.
I only ever had one really nasty virus on my old windows PC and it destroyed the hard drive making it unformattable (removed the boot registration? I am pretty unknowledgable about how this stuff actually works -the computer guy who came to fix my pc couldnt save it at all)
The bit I liked is it did flash a modified hollywood poster as a spoof parody with the title changed to virus -clever and annoying :)
Can you check this El Reg - go back to the stand and pretend you lost your car keys/child or something and have a nosey on the menu - I do like SE designs for their android phones they have really sorted some of the production issues they were having out of late, and they just look finished.
Dreams of Light Speed
on a (only) slighter more serious note re: all this talk of aliens ,this truly must be scientific breakthrough as it is science copying fiction and fiction copying science... they are searching for something truly amazing down there.
O2 Age Verification
Credit card.It cant be a debit card.
Also got that message this week, and as far as I was aware all O2 postpay handsets were not age restricted (although prepay ones always are; I think iphone had to be as possibly stock was shared between pre and postpay - contract and pay and go to you all)
the best game ever STILL
double dragon - that is all
All games are amazing
Magic Carpet...happy memories - not the greatest game ever but so so good (and def retro classic)
Thanks to the person above though....Deus Ex - what a game:)
Does anyone know if it will be getting multitouch? Am sure I read somewhere that SE arent adding it as well, despite upgrade
well said marcus - hate gold farmers ...dear friend if I could just trouble you a second.
these people are no friend of mine!
Hope this raises a smile
Well I think it's funny because my housemate paid 220quid recently for Apple TV - I would rate it as "OK" but everyone nowadays uses XBox/PS3 for streaming AVI - the nightmare I have had converting my downloads to itunes is beyond description - not an attractive user/apple-friendly process at all,so I would guess this played a part in the rental model also.
Also -would be nice if it is for music-streaming ,but am a big spotify fan anyway-
O2 also now offer a pay and go simplicity tariff for 5.00 /month that gives you unlimited UK text - no minutes though but I think it is a good deal for a fiver (and no credit check)
I for an I
This reminds me of a mobile technology caleld I-Mode (could be a coincidence I suppose) that was licenced in the UK for O2 by Japanese network DoCoMo.
I suppose it works in a different way but idea of using closed envoronments to spend your money bombed big time for O2 - personally, I think the reason as that people just dont like spending money to browse through things that have a vague interest to them ..... again iphone creating a need where there just isnt one
I always like these ideas
O2 had this service but discontinued it a few years ago.
The only problem I can see with this though is the data chrges as photos can be pretty large datawise
The Colditz Plane
Arrrgh Samuel you beat me to it! Saw a Channel 4 prog about colditz (its on 4OD btw) and at the end the recreated the colditz plane using modern techinques and coated the bedsheet exterior with special resins and stuff (as opposed to earwax etc) and got a pilot (poor guy) to actually fly it ; yes,it was beautiful ,and seeing these pics reminded me of their design.
Maybe they will win one day - I mean good guy always should
surely taking torrent sites down doesnt really have much effect and that is the whole point because the content isnt hosted on them
Being a Fan of Mobile-Review.com ,actually his latest blog did say how the dude had actually been on holiday recently Finnish or not - also he has saved me so much money over the years with his reviews and also helped me find some real nice phones
There is a reson for this -
These phones are pure tax rightoff ,plain and simple.
Diamonds are forever but phones certainly arent and there reaches a point when you are so rich you can really spend it like water.
You then have the diamonds removed when you are bored of the phone and sell them for a nice tidy little payout
Thats what I reckon - ever since I found out Elton John spent 250K in a year on flowers...
Its not VOIP
am sure that actually your 3G calls will still be billed by your network -its just this will allow you to get 3G speeds indoors.
it is a shame because mobile internet dongles could really use such a boost and these are customer trying to avoid having lline broadband
