How many parts?
Ok, so it's going to be modelled on the UK Driving Licence. Does this mean that we have to carry around the ID Card as well as the A4-sized piece of paper that comes with the card? After all, we can't have Plod saying "Your card is not in order" ; it just doesn't sound the same.
Efficiencies ?
They want to make the department more efficient, but it takes 3 of them to put together one email? Mind you, it is a bank so they probably got one person to write the details and two people to work out how much to charge the recipients.
Out-gunned ?
It doesn't matter how much chicken shit the weapon discharges ; it pales into insignificance compared to the amount of bullshit that the Police and Government can produce when faced with the possibility of a home owner protecting their property.
TV News Coverage
I was amused last week, to see some TV reporters doing "on-location" reporting from the streets of London, and asking passers-by what they thought of Google's "evil scheme" to photograph everyone's houses.
Neither the BBC, ITV or Channel 4 News bothered to blank out the faces of the people walking by in the background.
Advice from his friend?
Has Jack Straw been taking advice from his good friend Robert Mugabe? It would seem that way.
Oh no, a steering wheel
There was me thinking that you'd have to drive it using an iPhone instead of a steering wheel, tilting the phone left and right to steer the car....
"Sorry, officer ; I was taking a corner at 60mph and the phone rang"
Underwater roundabout
Fairly simple explanation :
The British sub thought that people on the underwater roundabout had right of way ; they French sub thought that people joining the underwater roundabout had right of way.
Simple mistake, anyone could make it
I refuse to speak a language
which uses words such as "incentivise" and "productize". Unfortunately, there are quite a few BBC programmes which are starting to use these terms too.
Is it possible
that this reduction has something to do with the Satyam fiasco? Very likely, a lot of companies over here are wondering how many Satyams there are over there. The general perception that you get what you pay for might also have a tiny bit to do with it.
