I bought my MSI Wind U100 from a car boot sale for £95. Stuck Ubuntu and an extra 1GB RAM in it and now I use it almost exclusively for everything.

The only thing I find it difficult to live without is multi-touch on the trackpad - I have a unique hatred for Unity's scroll bars.

Otherwise it does everything I need a computer to do.

I don't watch films on it but I wouldn't watch them on a 15" laptop or a tablet either.

Damn.

My Nokia 7650 had a TV/video remote app on it. I'm glad smart phones are finally catching up with phones from ten years ago

FIFA peaked with '97, and every version since FIFA RTWC '98 has been rubbish in comparison.

Football games in general, of course, peaked with Kick Off 2 ,which has never been bettered. Sensible Soccer came close.

Whilst I realise the British are imprisoning people for illegal opinions, I wouldn't expect this kind of thing from the Chinese.

On Microsoft's Xbox Live Marketplace they specify 'no refunds' for downloadable content.

Isn't that illegal? I understood even a sign saying 'no refunds' is illegal in itself under UK trading law.

Built-in downloadable maps, with turn-based SatNav containing road speed information and warnings - that was my killer feature right there. Did I mention the SatNav even works in aeroplane mode?

You're missing the point slightly

They're not trying to catch people or prove who's downloaded what, all they want is to release this report and let fear do the rest.

They don't have to resort to lawyers or to threaten individuals with legal action while the BBC are obediently reporting verbatim everything F@CT say to them.

It's probably the most innovative control system I've ever seen to jump about collecting coins.

Typing this blazingly quickly with my gorgeous HP Prē³ - I weep at the fact that it was scrapped after being on sale for about a week. It's a proper, proper smart phone, qwerty keyboard, not designed on a budget and not designed for kids. Would have been perfect for this Reg item if they still sold the bloody things.

Sigh.

The X10 Mini Pro is the best qwerty keyboard phone on sale today, if you want one; get that.

The Bush freezes completely every few days, and has to be disconnected from the power to reset. Annoying / avoid.
