US Social Security 'wasted $300 million on an IT BOONDOGGLE'

Dylan Fahey

Re: Department of the Obvious....

And I can guarantee that NONE of the LM folks working on the project are actually LM employees. They are sub-contractors for LM. Everyone is at the 'grain shoot' getting their share. Shit product, no one cares, they got their monies and are gone.

UK Parliament rubber-stamps EMERGENCY data grab 'n' keep bill

Dylan Fahey

I see you have a epidemic

I see you have a epidemic of 'moron' spreading through your government also. We here in the US have had it for years. Many attempts to eradicate it in politicians has failed. No one will take the stern steps needed to kill it. Those horrific measures needed, such as intelligent VOTING for good clean politicians, seem to be beyond the capabilities of normal 'persons'. True, finding a clean politician is an oxymoron in itself, we must keep trying. Good luck on your endevours, I've pretty much lost hope here in the United Corporations of Amerika (UCA), aka NSA Homeland. (We lost the USA a long time ago).

NSA: Inside the FIVE-EYED VAMPIRE SQUID of the INTERNET

If only...

If only we spent as much on 'helping' our neighbors with clean water plants, power plants, cheap communication access, we'd be rolling in the riches of cooperation and team work.

Instead, we brew fear, insecurity, and hate. WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.

'Arrogant' Snowden putting lives at risk, says NSA's deputy spyboss

Dylan Fahey

Re: Excellent PR

And don't you know, EVERYONE is a target until proven innocent. That's the way NSA works. Collect it all, let "insert program name here" sort it out later.

I'll say it again. I have no problem with the CIA/NSA etc, doing data collection, but only where a warrant was issued. You can't tell me that in the 21st century, you can't email a judge and in 5 minutes have a warrant.

And really, no juicy pics from any of that surveillance, what's the world coming to ?? /jk

Obama reveals tiny NSA reforms ... aka reforming your view of the NSA

Dylan Fahey
Thumb Up

Re: The Fourth Amendment says...

It's a sad (der) day in amerika, the United Corporations of Amerika (UCA), no longer the USA. The real story is the State Dept, which pushes corporate weapons contracts around the world, needs the NSA for intel. It has nothing to do with terrorists. It's all about the money.

I'm trying to get everyone I know here to vote Independent and cut all ties to corporate money. It's the ONLY WAY we'll be free again. The gov has put the constitution into the shredder and does not care about the citizenry.

So the NSA will read this, here's some of the code words they stupidly search for:

Waihopai, INFOSEC, Information Security, Information Warfare, IW, IS, Priavacy, Information Terrorism, Terrorism Defensive Information, Defense Information Warfare, Offensive Information, Offensive Information Warfare, National Information Infrastructure, InfoSec, Reno, Compsec, Computer Terrorism, Firewalls, Secure Internet Connections, ISS, Passwords, DefCon V, Hackers, Encryption, Espionage, USDOJ, NSA, CIA, S/Key, SSL, FBI, Secert Service, USSS, Defcon, Military, White House, Undercover, NCCS, Mayfly, PGP, PEM, RSA, Perl-RSA, MSNBC, bet, AOL, AOL TOS, CIS, CBOT, AIMSX, STARLAN, 3B2, BITNET, COSMOS, DATTA, E911, FCIC, HTCIA, IACIS, UT/RUS, JANET, JICC, ReMOB, LEETAC, UTU, VNET, BRLO, BZ, CANSLO, CBNRC, CIDA, JAVA, Active X, Compsec 97, LLC, DERA, Mavricks, Meta-hackers, ^?, Steve Case, Tools, Telex, Military Intelligence, Scully, Flame, Infowar, Bubba, Freeh, Archives, Sundevil, jack, Investigation, ISACA, NCSA, spook words, Verisign, Secure, ASIO, Lebed, ICE, NRO, Lexis-Nexis, NSCT, SCIF, FLiR, Lacrosse, Flashbangs, HRT, DIA, USCOI, CID, BOP, FINCEN, FLETC, NIJ, ACC, AFSPC, BMDO, NAVWAN, NRL, RL, NAVWCWPNS, NSWC, USAFA, AHPCRC, ARPA, LABLINK, USACIL, USCG, NRC

Watch out spooks: STANDARDS GROUPS are COMING AFTER YOU

Dylan Fahey

I'm laughing, really

There is only one way to safely transmit your info across the net. It has to be encrypted prior to transmission.

There is no other way around it.

You can encrypt all the links you want, you can encrypt whatever, it doesn't matter unless what leaves your computer is encrypted first.

GIMP flees SourceForge over dodgy ads and installer

Dylan Fahey

I actually donate to my FLOSS developers.

I actually donate to my FLOSS developers and wish everyone would. I use Freemake, GIMP, LibreOffice etc. I donate when I find it has saved my bacon.

I do not donate to OpenOffice/LibreOffice as they've not fixed a terrible problem with their spell checker on upgrades.

The lack of donations to FLOSS devs does show the general low level humanity is at. We praise helping out the general public with social programs (health, transportation, etc), but look at the results. NO ONE DONATES. How can we function as a civilized society if we don't support the things that HELP everyone.

I just donated $50 to the philippines for the typhoon fund. How many of you have?

Oh the expections of the 'customer'

"Indeed, 'a person has no legitimate expectation of privacy in information he voluntarily turns over to third parties.'"

To think, I send a mail to a 'recipient' and expect it to get to the person, without the post office scanning the sender address, and scanning the contents of my letter. I do have a LEGITIMATE EXPECTATION of privacy. This is not pirates on the sea, or the pony express.

What is so wrong with MY expectation of privacy. Nothing I say! What is wrong is the 'corporate' view that THEY assume have the right to inspect that letter, envelope and all. Everything is wrong with that thought process.

Wrong wrong wrong!

Mail is a service, free or not, but does not give the 'service provider' the right to inspect the contents. Why even do we have to go to court over something so simple. GOOGLE, do not do evil.

The secure mail dilemma: If it's useable, it's probably insecure

So, you gonna foot this '$200bn' hacking bill, insurance giants asked

Dylan Fahey

I'm cracking up, again

Instead of paying people to 'maintain' the system, online companies and government, would rather pay more, much more, for insurance. And where does that money come from, why, the consumer and citizen, of course. The irresponsibility of corporations and government is astounding.

Obama cancels meeting Putin in Russia, says Snowden 'a factor'

Dylan Fahey

Here's something you may not know.

Obama now is not only hated by the Repuglican Party, he is now also hated by the Demorats party.

It takes real political skill to accomplish that feat. From re-enacting the Patriot Act, condoning spying on US citizens by the NSA, and not legalizing marijuana. This fucktard of a president has succeeded in failing, almost as bad as Bush v2.0 . American voters quite frankly are the idiots of the planet and continue to vote in these corporate owned and sponsored puppets. Will they learn? No. I have no faith in my fellow man here in Amerika. No balls, no brains, no skill. FAILURES. To think I spent 20 years in the military protecting the Constitution of the U.S.A and now it's a worthless pile of shit.

IBM open sources new approach to crypto

Dylan Fahey

When are we going to get Encrypted Mail ?

I'm tired of my email being stored in Utah where the NSA can/will/does look at it anytime they want. Everything we send over the Internet in the USA is being stored there for analysis at a later date.

Having 'encrypted for transmission' built into email programs sure would help me feel safer. Now, no doubt they can un-encrypt it with some little effort, but at least they would have to try. At the present time, they just read 'whatever' they want, at anytime. I have worked with the Feds and I am not feeling safe at all, concerning my freedom of speech in the USA and the governments LACK of respect for privacy.

I don't know what the guy on the street in London feels, but over here, things are not going well.
