It's probably worth mentioning:
You make no mention of whether or not this variant of the Milestone sports the same signed bootchain as the regular Milestone, preventing users from using custom ROMs.
What you should have mentioned is Motorola's absolutely abysmal track record for getting Android updates to phones in a timely manner. Their flagship, the Verizon branded Droid still doesn't have 2.2, and they're deliberately dragging their feet over confirming if the nigh-identical Milestone will get it at all.
If you don't mind my asking
Why do you feel you have to jailbreak an Android handset?
I've had a G1 for a year now, and am only now considering rooting it, as it's the only way to continue to get firmware updates. Until now, I've never needed to root to get something.
Right
I'm going to remake Avatar with playmobil then.
I'll see you chaps in a decade!
@AC, 2:50AM
Thank you! It's only 8:35AM and thats already the stupidest thing I'm likely to read today.
Really?
Jobs that the UK government has made ludicrously unrewarding are understaffed in the UK? Really?
Up to 10mhz
So are those the maximum requirements? Would sticking it on my modern laptop do something terrible?
@ Highlander
You're probably correct about me being more observant of the noises the PS3 is making. I have only had it a week though, so I'm not entirely sure what the "Correct" noises are yet. The loading noise is basically the same one all CD based consoles make, so I'm guessing it's normal.
Loading
Anyone notice the drive making odd noises post update yesterday? It might be my habit of pausing MGS4 with the PS Button rather than start, but it sounds like my disk drive is doing more loading than it was before.
I personally can't wait until PS3 gets to firmware version 3.60.
Bugger.
I downloaded this to USB and installed it yesteday. Am I screwed? Or is the bug only in the installation?
Re: Family Guy.
Family Guy stopped being funny after Blue Harvest. It just seems like they burned out on humour during it. It just seems to be going for the somewhat tired "ZOMG YOU CANT SAY THAT ON TV LOLZ" jokes now.
I was amused
You can actually buy the CD version of mandriva in my local PC World. It's on the shelf alongside Windows, no less.
Lol701
I kinda regret buying a 4g 701, as the EEE community distro's uniformly suck, and I can't fit a real distro on there comfortably.
I may upgrade to the 901, though Dell's offering looks nice.
Choice
“I know a smart business decision when I see one – choosing open standards is a very smart business decision indeed,” said Kroes. “No citizen or company should be forced or encouraged to choose a closed technology over an open one.”
But they should be ALLOWED to make a choice, rather than have it made for them by someone else "For their own good"
Re: Phorm has nothing to do with the slump
I'd say the kind of person who gets their broadband through CPW doesn't even know what Phorm is, let alone what's wrong with it.
