Did you test DIvx?
Any actually tested divx? (or did you review the spec sheet? Divx and xvid are variants of MPEG4, therefore likely supported...
Eh?
I won't be buying any more Seagate drives then.
If 95% fail within 3 years then why cut the warranty back? Seagate give the customer additional peace of mind with little risk to themselves. Talk of shooting yourself in the foot...
Dear Santa, can I have ....
The good
Stunning styling. Hope the build quality is good as they say.
Glass trackpad
Proper graphics
User replaceable HDD on the MBP
The bad
No Firewire on the MacBook = EPIC fail
1680x1050 option on the MacBook Pro 15" please
Who cares? (ie Shut Up)
HDMI - pfft get over it. Tis just DVI with audio - wait for the adaptor.
FW800 only on the MacBook Pro - it's backwards compatible so buy a convertor cable.
Glossy only - Eh? It's a glass protected screen. Duh!
Pardon? How much!
Same price as an Atom EEE PC, but without the costly battery and TFT screen.
£180 = fine.
£255 = Rip off.
Eh?
My head hurts. It's going to cost me more in lost earnings trying to work out which model to buy that it's worth.
It's a cheap ultraportable laptop - how about a simple range?
Paris - cause all that thinking would give her an aneurysm.
No no no no no no no no no. Never.
Stupid stupid stupid idea. Authorities likelike Stockport and Trafford straddle the M60. If I pop out the 1 mile to my local Tesco at the wrong time it's going to cost me £3 !!! Would they rather I drive 7 miles the other way instead skirting around the M60?
EPIC FAIL.
Homeworking
They're taking the mick - we've got a large number of homeworkers VPN'ing in via the ex-C&W Virgin network. 900Mb and they're effectively done for the day.
I'm surprised they managed this long!
I used to work for PCW back in the late 90's The one store in our area became 7 within 2 years and store turnover dropped by over 50%, yet the bigwigs couldn't work out why! Muppets.
Sorry to shatter your illusions - I was the PC World employee who knew something. I worked there part time while doing a BSc in computer science.
Paris - cause she'd make a good till tart!
