Explain this to me...
So, here's an opportunity for me to learn something. Why does cycling evoke this ferocious response from a sizable portion of the British population? Personally, I stop at red lights and so on, but if I judge that the situation is such that I am safer to nip across a pavement or turn a corner whilst the 'green man' is on, I will.
WHY does that make you want to kill me?
The article under discussion describes how Mr Martin drove a silent electric car right behind a group of people riding bikes and then deliberately startled them, taking great delight as a dangerous accident resulted.
WHY is that in any way excusable?
Really, I want to know.
Dear oh dear
Silly lad. Your choice of tool reflects your ability eh? Maybe it reflects what you have to hand/what you have a budget for (including time).
PHP is really good for most simple data-backed web things. How better to learn scalability than through failing to scale? But how better to secure funding for your well-designed large-scale creation than a decent cheap POC?
Oh, and I've seen a whole hear of little cheap PHP & Perl ideas work just fine, with no budget and no fuss. I've seen no 'proper' software projects deliver without extreme pain, and many many which did not deliver at all.
Tools for the job my friend.
Diva Gem does this
I've been using the Diva Gem for years, which is a bluetooth headset/MP3 player with an SDRAM slot. Works perfectly. Rechargable. Small. Indestructible (by me, so far). Cheapish (about £80). Recommended.
