Opera update fixes stability bugs

Tony
Go

@ John Murgatroyd

Hmm ....... I'm using 9.51 (as I've used and updated most versions since 6.0) and I've had no problems I'm aware of???

Maybe my XP setup is better 'setup' than yours, or yours is just plain borked. If it works well on mine it can work well on anybody's.

BT starts threatening music downloaders with internet cut-off

Tony
Stop

U don't Get it Gav

"Let's cut to the bottom line shall we? Did this BT customer share the music file or not?"

No, the bottom line is what *proof* do BPI or BT have that any copyright material was shared. P2P networks (generally) only share small portions of a whole file from any one location and such files can be named anything the sharer likes. It doesn't have to reflect what the file contains.

Also isn't interception of private data a crime?

Errrm

Wonder how they upgraded the ceiling joists and put in floor boards enough to support 12 bodies ???

I bet cooking, washing and (like a previous poster said) taking a leak was tricky. No all nighters either !!

This story has to be b*llocks!

Paris: 'cos she definitely can recognise b*llocks.

@M Brown

"Makes me laugh so much the people who all of a sudden have to like Opera. I would like to bet these are the same people who were all over FF when that wasn't as widely used and was the alternative to IE for the 'cool' crowd. Now that FF has hit it's popularity, people have to jump to the next 'underground' browser, ie Opera until that becomes too widely used. Pathetic"

I've used Opera since ver 6 because I like it and don't need a separate email client, looks nicer, is faster, is more customisable out of the box, has everything built in that FF users need a plug-in for, blah, blah etc.

So not pathetic just more canny I suppose.

Paris 'cos she knows a good deal when she sees one.

@Dafydd

"Apple pretty much forced Safari on it's customers".

And MS customers as well!!

Wonder what Apple would say if MS dumped IE7 on everyone who downloaded apps for a Mac?

(PH 'cos no one forces a download on her)
