We just took over a small company with 50 mac's that we turned into scrap within 4 weeks. No good to man nor beast.

I have a developer friend who made the mistake of getting an iPhone. Once he realised the massive limitations inflicted by Apple he hated the phone - until he he jailbroke it and was allowed to set it up how he wanted (and not just pages of icons).
I agree iPhones for the iDiots.

Repair Costs
My problem with Mac's is the repair cost outside of warranty, may as well just throw it away.
My MBP has a dodgy "superdrive", Apple wanted over £250 to repair it. The drive (which they won't sell separate) can be purchased for around £50.
Won't get fooled again.

If you are mental enough to pay for Mobileme then it can easily be picked up for £40 on ebay - but still, the question is why would you bother at those over inflated prices.
I did use it for a year but there are better alternatives for free and I didn't see the need to keep funding Steve's stylish outfit's.

The old model overheated and was poorly designed to stop people upgrading themselves. The internal power supply is still a massive mistake.

Interest in the iDon't is stumbling and it is not a geek phone - it is only a fashion accessory.
The great thing about Android - no Apple thought police!!! No lock in to iTunes and a simple setting to be able to install what you want from wherever you want.
Get fed up with the look & feel of the OS then it is simple to root & replace with a different developers ROM, not just stuck with the same tired interface with lots of pages of icons and iAd's to make things worse.

Just started using the built in Android/Google Maps navigation. Works flawless without extra hardware (only a standard window mount) or expensive software.
