Would have been good if you'd have posted a map so when I'm back down that way I can actively avoid them/destroy them.
But what else is new? Built-In Peer Guardian?
Has literally the most annoying voice in the world.
But cool science, will definitely try this out some time!
How's this any different?
Plenty of electrical devices have stickers that say "warranty void if seal is broken". Why is it worse if Apple do this with some sensors rather than stickers?
in kit form?
So these numpties are going to be trying to build these things themselves, and THEN killing themselves...
Sounds like sneaky genocide to me!
So what about XBox 360?
"Apple said the iPhone complies with key safety standards in the US, Europe and Down Under."
roughly translated as..
"it's legal bitches, we don't care."
Paris: because she changes colour in the sun .. ?
I love the "Goodbye!" at the end.. i imagine it being so cheerful and involving a smile and wave... haha.
Paris: Because she never complains ;-)
"It seems that one can combine formyl-pyridine and diaminobiphenyl disulfonate with iron to form a molecular tetrahedron with a central void space in its middle"
Oh of course! Now why didn't I think of that?
Command and Conquer?
So basically, war will just be like playing a real-time, real-life game of command and conquer, but with awesome graphics and touch screen?
I love this article, it's great, definitely have to show this to my bosses (one has an iphone, the other has some other smart phone and they're always going on about it).
Me, I love my chuffing iPhone!
Oh that's just...
Absolutely fantastic! Good one Queeny!
Largest In History
Jesus! So like the whole Russia/Estonia thing.. yeah? Wow... i mean.... wow... HOW many computers must have been involved? I mean.. this is pretty serious... like did they get like every hax0r in the world to ddos their site?
It's a shame that LogMeIn is such a rip off, when you have to pay subscription aswell (unless you just use a free account I guess). I use LogMeIn to access my home pc from work and vise-versa, but why would I download this for 30 bucks when I could just us VNC for free?
Bank Error In Your Favour Collect $10000000
These guys are totally going to win Monopoly.
On the legality of it, surely Monopoly is in fault here, because they encourage.... no instruct you to take the money from bank errors.
It's called "evolution for efficiency".
When I go back to NZ I definitely want to be able to use my iPhone, but at the current prices... a choice is welcome!
Why am I even back in the UK?
Those other docks?
I don't think Apple will worry about those other docks that are available, mainly because they're marketed as offering the Apple experience on a PC or whatever, which, you know if people want to destroy window's GUI with a pretty Mac UI.. wouldn't that make Apple happy?
Thanks for the read, muchos interesting :)
This is totally like the film 'Hackers'
Actually, the ski season will start in a couple of months, otherwise I would convince my girlfriend we need a wii to skii.
Warf: "Assimilate this!" *PSSCHHEW! BOOM!*
Not My Dog!
How much will she sue the company for when she realizes the dog isn't actually her dog?
God that cracked me up. I'm going to go eat a big slab of juicy meat.
No idea if this is related but I received a spam instant message from a random address, sending me a link to a website to download a MS Dos file of some kind.
The ol' "I've found some pictures of you!" scam... I think the url they sent me too was image-bin.com or something along those lines.
Where's the pretty Movie-esc video of this program running? I want to see it in full, automated functionality.
If the music is half as good as the soundtrack from First Contact I will be happy to sit through it with my eyes closed :)
Creativity at it's finest.
Haha, wonderful name.
God I've missed the register since I moved to NZ
This is what I've been waiting for! Anyone want to work with me to port Dark Forces 1 & 2, full use of wii-saber and wii-gunthingy involved....
BEST IDEA EVER.
How long until...
Live video feeds on google earth? So you can just zoom in anywhere, and watch it all live... ?
Really good argument.. if that happened to myself, I'd definitely try and use that.
Also, October?? That gives plenty of time for the hacker to sell his laptop and get a new one, does it not?
How long until...
they get me R2-D2?
Did he explain as to why the glitch occurred? Or what they're doing to prevent the problem again?
Surely you couldn't have been the only person to have had that problem... perhaps the only competent person to have noticed and done something about it... but surely not the only.
Thanks for the youtube video, it's most interesting.
Knowing where the best place to be to see them on Sunday would be great, or will they be going all night everywhere in the entire world?
Not to support illegal downloading or anything, but..
Who cares? Facebook is an awful website, with poor layout and so it's not surprising there's security glitches.
Strange that, isn't it. They've "Released" it, and yet it's still a limited beta version which I can't even download.
You're journalists, tell me why, don't just write stuff I already saw on the BBC iPlayer site :(
And what's with the whole "i" Player.. why not think of a more original name... I know the BBC can be boring asses sometimes, but there's got to be someone with a little spark of creativity around there somewhere.
I'd wondered where all my 500 15 year old male friends had disappeared to :\
Re: Known about this for a year at least.
Yeah me too.
Anywho, it'd be great for military operations.. I mean, you couldn't get much stealthier than that could you.
Ahh the smell... aaah the memories.. don't you just want to go get your bike out?
Haha, is this an reg reader??
I hope he posts the same kind of angry comment on all of the articles. Would be slightly hypocritical no doubt, but also amusing for us geeks who spend all day reading about how someone hacked an iphone,
Pay as you Go?
Since when has there been an army and how the hell do I sign up? :D
*seriously unhappy face*
I also had trouble with Ebuyer and Google Checkout's £10 off deal. However It wasn't anything to do with car rejection, simple that Ebuyer failed to display the terms and conditions before I sent my hard earned cash, and so didn't find out until after that the deal did not include postage.
£10 on delivery wasted. Thanks Ebuyer.
Re: Funny, it isn't april...
You clearly have never worked in Tesco. =(
Sounds lovely... can't wait to find out how much it's going to be... well, I'm not going to be able to afford it, but still, we can dream!
Joel, you said "How so? Was he doing an experiment or something? Did he wrap himself up? And surely the wife would have smelled it?"
Just to put you in the picture, "mummified" doesn't actually mean wrapped in bandages lol.
I realise that :P, what I'm saying is, if he clambered up into his roof with a bottle of schnaps, how on earth did he become mummified? Garage roofs are generally damp places are they not? Maybe he covered himself in soil or something.
