I have a Petard if you need one for the next stage that you need to embark on, I'm also available to help you 'hoist' at no extra cost, please bear in mind the number of MP's we need to hoist when I claim for reimbursement of sustenance.
Kind Regards,
Expendable Citizen (aka Public Scum)
The loading screens that also displays the tips has one that talks about playing WoW in moderation, so the warning is there (just like Wii stuff has). He chose to ignore it, FAIL, kick it straight out of court.
(P.S. this doesn't affect his status as an insufferable twat).
For once I feel sorry for iPhone owners, especially if they buy TomTom. They know nothing of customer loyalty and will quite happily charge you full price for software updates where as all the other companies I buy software from will offer you a discount for an upgrade (MS included), may seem trivial but when your paying £70+ for maps each time!
I don't have an iPhone but after a few years of being financially abused by TomTom I ditched them and went with CoPilot as version 8 of their software is definately worthy of what I'd paid for the TomTom product but thankully CoPilot don't charge that much and if you have a HTC phone with version 7 installed (which obviously comes for free) they will still let you have a discount when upgrading to version 8, happy days, even happier that I could take all my custom favourites and POIs with me as well.
CoPilot you will have my money for a number of years if you keep that attitude, TomTom you can get stuffed.
Paris....errrrr..... ummm, cause she gets about a bit.
Doesn't that make all breeds of Dogs genetic freaks as they are supposed to be cross bred from the original wolf in the siberian region (I may be wrong I'm pulling on memories of a nature program from awhile back).
Those dissing Bulldogs seem to have a lot of incorrect information, my uncle and aunt who bred, competed and even judged (their bulldogs, before someone misinterprets that lastbit) at crufts never encountered half the issues you lot are talking about.
PETA, bless'im, they really don't operate in the normal realms of reality do they.
I bet Kelly has been down in the dumps, cause your not a full fledged reporter until you get a commentard being a 'tard about one of your stories.
I would love to know what else his kids have found online that teaches them about the world, let's hope he has a decent filter to keep them away from redhotporn.xxx
That's amazing, I watched the whole thing and was throughly entertained, I've just placed an order for 30 copies of windows 7 so I can also give them to all my friends and we can dance together knowing we're all using the same OS.
happy happy joy joy
(P.S. moral of this story is don't lick certain types of frog too early in the day, NURSE... jacket please).
3D TV will never go anywhere unless it's a precursor to holographic systems.
The general public has only just started getting HD TV's but haven't seen the value in them yet as there isn't enough HD delivery unless you subscribe, either that or you kick yourself for buying a HD TV when you have to go out and buy another so that you can receive freesat HD.
Surely they should have looked at the whole Blu-ray issue, the tech and discs aren't exactly flying off the shelves.
"extrovert intellectuals who know a lot about the media" this sums Apple fanbois I know in a nutshell, twats with their heads up thier own arses in laymans terms, especially seeing as none of them have media related jobs and the intellectual part is highly dubious.
No icon for 'head up own arse' so just imagine where the thumb is instead.
@RE: Handsfree kit anybody? - Try more like £30 for a reasonable handsfree that does what it says on the tin (and I'm talking bluetooth not wired), even less excuse.
@ratsac11 - Yup those actions can also be deemed illegal, if the Poll-ece decide your not in proper control of your vehicle they can pull you, whether it's a hamburger, cig, cock or stote in your hand, if it's not on the steering wheel your a potential accident.
Generally speaking, driving standards in this country are crap and getting worse mainly due to arrogance and ignorance. I applaud the police force that made the youtube vid of what happens when a young girl is distracted by her mobile phone and crashes (think it was the west midlands police, can't find the link at the moment).
Granted the Poole authorities might have over reacted a tad with using their RIPA powers the other side of the coin is the Mum is on record as saying she 'played the system' to get the school placement, hence why Poole thought they had justification to investigate.
The parents in question have a number of properties and the one they are currently claiming for the school placement was due to be sold.
We have 'working parties' about 'working parties' and we don't have enough conference rooms, the one I can seal tight will be booked by me for the rest of the year at this rate and it's going to cost me a fortune in Diesel for the generator.
Need another alternative to the gassing Simon ;)
The US will love us, especially after they just implemented their DST so that the markets were more sync'd.
Surely this would cause havoc on a number of devices and such like that rely on timing based on GMT?
What's the problem with leaving it as is, all the time devices in my house change automatically as it is (except the flippin oven, but thats got a mind of it's own anyway and permentantly lives in a different time zone to the rest of the house). I think this Prof just wants his name to be in the History books, the change would be costly and it's not doing any harm to leave it alone.
I think this recession is a lot of companies 'get-out-of-jail-free' card when it comes to FSP, I don't know of many companies that want to keep them, they are a costly pension, I'd bet my house on all of these companies that withdraw the FSP will not be re-introducing them.
I consider myself lucky that I still work for an employer that has them (although for how long is another story).
Unions are a throwback that could definately be thrown out. I think the greed attitude definately stems from the Union rather than the employee, in the case of the Royal Mail, it's a shame that the moderisation programme will make some people redunant but it's a 'break a few eggs to make an omlette' senario, the omlette being the continuation of Royal Mail as a business.
You probably can't claim that the threaded issue was resolved in XP, I'd say it went in Vista.
The Vista builds I have running have had application crashes that haven't taken down the OS at all or to the degree that it happened in XP. That was one of the supposedly big changes in Vista was it's ability not to crash the kernal when a threaded application went tits up, on the whole I think they have achieved that (certainly so with No.7 (no not the make-up brand the MS OS)).
Depending on your build you can get Vista to run for at least a week without encountering any problems.
(Mac fans stay back, I'm not dissing Apple or their products, just adding to the discussion Ian and Dale have entered into).
.... channel 4 recieves funding from the public via the TV license fee, only a small amount compared to the Beeb, but they do recieve money from the UK populace to make programming, hence why it's UK only.
The reason they have advertising (before anyone asks) is because that funding from the public purse is so small, so they need to beef it up with revenue from somewhere else.
But as someone mentioned before C4 does sound like it's doing an out sourcing deal, they've have revenue troubel for awhile, how bad it is now I'm not sure but this seems to indicate it's not very healthy at the moment.
I think Film4 turns a healthy profit at the moment, but don't quote me on that it was along time since I last caught up on their situation.
So your saying it's not as good as an iPhone (which is fair enough, not even close to that league IMO).
But in the same breath your saying it's not as good as a windows phone, which to be fair is OS comparison and not a phone comparison. After reading the review I couldn't help think this is no where near as good as my Touch Pro2 (a windows HTC phone) which has pretty much the same functionality including the Facebook tie in to contacts and by he sounds of it a better keyboard and a nicer looking design.
I don't see the point in the strike action, Fujitsu clearly dn't have the money available to support a final salary pension, 1,200 workers and a pay increase, if they don't have the money they just don't have the money. Strike action will only mean they lose more money faster, which would equate to the 1,200 number probably increasing.
Last time I heard we were in a recession and times are hard, other workers for other companies have voluntarily reduced their hours and such like, not because they wanted, they just saw teh value in keeping their jobs and at the same time keeping their employer afloat so eventually they could go back to full time hours.
And they say global warming is causing sea levels to rise, no nothing to do with global warming, it's do to with flippin huge ships like this being built.
They are half right though as the blame still lays at people like Shell's door.
(still it would be an impressive piece of engineering)
