Hit the nail on the head, with the cheaper knock offs.

They have a good brand and reputation, but most consumers would not consider this justification for paying 6-10x more - I paid £60 for a decent generic. works perfect for my few ski trips, but cheap enough that if it breaks I don't care too much.

But I hope they manage to get past this.. also sympathies to those who have lost their jobs.

To be fair - even after their 30% cut, the games are still f*ck load better value and cheaper than those for XBoxOne and PS4..

Brought my son a new game for xmas, it cost £40, the same game on Steam costs £22, but if you hunt around (cdkeys), you can buy the steam code for £12... I contemplated just building him a PC and the game to go with it (pay for itself over the course of a year)..

lmao, this used to be one of my many tricks when we needed new ESXi upgrades... be careful if you do this, consider a carefully placed and unassumingly named script on the server to take care of it.

Though nobody ever clocked on it was 1 VM that had a "problem", rather than the whole ESXi host (which was running about 20 VM's).

Another tip. when the Firewall needs an upgrade, switch on QOS and drop the priority of (or rate limit) HTTP, HTTPS and VOIP.

My old ISP / Datacenter on the South Coast did that.. IIRC correctly they once had a failure on the primary backbone provider, failed-over the secondary, a few minutes later this went TITSUPs.

Turned out, the backup link got saturated, as they'd being progressively increasing their customer base and increasing the primary, but "forgot" to upgrade the secondary.

Whilst I hate admitting this - I do use the phone apps, it's made my life sooo much easier, especially when managing multiple accounts.

At the end of the day, even if somebody managed to get into the account, they can't transfer any money without setting up a new payee, which requires my card and my reader.. in addition, when ever anything is set up or moved, I'm sent a notification.

I let my missus look at my account, so I've got nothing to hide... that stuff goes on a credit card from a separate bank ;)

It's bizarre, but since autoplay became an issue, I've noticed more and more sites doing it.. I honestly don't understand the mindset of a marketeer. They're almost boardering on being sadists, thinking the more shit they inflict on customers, the more theyll be noticed.

I'd recommend 3.. I've for a contract for SIM only, costs £25 per month for all you can eat data, voice and text, along with 12GB for tethering. If you get "Feel At Home" aswell, then you can use your inclusive amounts when you're abroad..

And that's the reason I shouldn't have forked out for the expensive one, I've crashed it twice and broken it! then had to spent $$$ to get it fixed. Its like buying a Porsche and having a fender bender, you look a idiot if you don't get it fix.. but you feel like an when you do, the only way to win is not to buy it in the first place (hindsight is a wonderful thing)

I've got 1 small supplier I started using when I worked at an SME, they were honest and understood how to work with an IT manager, when budgets were tight they worked miracles with the vendors for me.. since then I've moved up, now working in FTSE companies, and taken this supplier with me, and rather £5000-£15000 orders, they now get £500k.

I still remember 1 new underhanded supplier, who I was discussing Microsoft licensing with, I won't name them (they are named after something toddlers/kids Colour with), they were about £50 cheaper than my usual supplier and something stank about them, so I decided to stick with the devil I knew - next thing I know, the underhanded supplier was on the phone to call my head of finance!
