What's the point?
Like some others said, what's the point of this fork? I thought it was great when Ubuntu didn't work out-of-the-box on my EeePC, but now that Ubuntu 8.10 works fine, I really don't see the use of this. So what's the point again?

As others have said.. Where's the Linux option? Having the eeePC 701 myself, I can say I've ended up loving the built-in Xandros and still running it most of the time. Its fast boot time and simplicity are a huge plus which is not mentionned in this article. Just because of the OS, the EeePC wins, me thinks.
Follow the link to the E.T. picture on Google Maps, keep going south, and always keep an eye on the right. You will see that E.T. and his laser keeps showing up again and again!!! I don't want to ruin the hope of a conspiracy theory here, but the E.T. shape strangely looks like the mounted cameras on top of the Google vehicle filming (I've seen it online somewhere).
Anyways, It still doesn't explain what it is. Reflexion of it? What about the laser? I have no idea what this is... Strange indeed :)
I am actually quite surprised by this news item. I've thought Best Buy already sold Apple PCs because there's a Best Buy that opened here in Shanghai several months ago and they already have quite a huge Apple section. I must also add that these Apple machines seem to sell quite well too!
