More smokescreens
Just another smoekscreen for invasion of privacy and control and drumming up funds for organisations finding themselves less and less usefull as time passes.
Unfortunately your average daily rag reader believes the hype.

Just got a warning by Mcafee that it had blocked this virus (and a number of other AV software so I read). Unfortunately it was a false positive in an exe called Gamebooster (An app that sets certain system services to stop state when playing games for an extra speed boost). The developer had to make an updated version just to get around it as they swear it's not got the virus.
I have a Samsung N120 Netbook and amd chuffed. Sure it's not the fastest off the block but it does most of the stuff I want on the move. Windows 7, 720P H.264 video in MKV (Using CoreAVC to decode that is) and even plays low resource games (World of Goo, Plants vs Zombies etc).
It also has a very useable keyboard. My only niggle is the screen viewing angles. But since I am the one using it and not a side viewer who cares!
I got it to replace me more powerful notebook because of it's extra battery life and light portability plus it was reasonably priced. It really depends on your needs and Apple are just blowing steam because they didn't get in early on the trend.
...internet usage and mobile technology dehumanizes us and has taken away our community spirit. We have less and less face to face contact with our neighbours and youngsters are developing improper people skills as everything they do is online with strangers.
Well that's what the vicar says.
At least not without having preview enabled to show the link you are about to follow. TinyURL offers this feature whilst other redirectors do not.
A certain notorious imageboard uses the redirector trick to punt users to nefarious sites all the time (Malware and Trojans, porn spam etc). After being caught out myself on the odd occasion I no longer click such links without a preview feature.
I've never understood this need for recharging the batteries. Why not have hot swap batteries that are precharged? You pay a fee at the 'gas' station and your exhausted batteries are removed on a slideout mechanism and replaced with fully charged ones. They can pack and stack em on a fast charge system ready for the next customer. You would never truly own one set of batteries as they would always be in circulation.
...humanity (cough) would not put so much importance on sex. Yes I know it's the most important act a human can make in regards to reproduction but FFS all the moral zealots should be shot. Seriously. Sex is NOT wrong or immoral as long as it is between consenting adults. Children should NOT be shielded from it but educated properly. The trouble is there are too many PC parents (Read brainwashed) who don't have a clue about how to deal with broaching the subject with their little 'uns and expect the state to take care of everything for them (Read: {arents are lazy fuckwits).
Paris knows all about those.
People keep asking what Windows 7 will have over XP. Well for one thing it will allow the use of more than 3GB of RAM which for graphics editing and video editing is a must. Same goes for the 2TB hard disk partition limit. There are already 2TB hard disks out there and even larger RAID arrays. XP is problematic with partitions over 2TB requiring a lot of messing about to get it to recognise over that amount correctly.
I'm guessing only the 64bit version of Windows 7 will support more than 3GB of RAM fully though?
What I find amusing is that the cartels surely thought that by gaining a victory that TPB would close down. All they want is for the site to be unavailable for as long as it takes to go to appeal and beyond. Unfortunately for them the site continues to operate regardless due to it's mirroring and thus proves how the cartels haven't a clue how it really works.
Anyhow I and meny others knew there was something bogus about the trial result. The prosecutions claims were flimsy at best so there is no way this was not a biased decision.

Send him this page with your comments. It worked for the previous CEO ben.verwaayen@bt.com as I was in touch with him over some issues in the past and the problems were fixed promptly.
Be polite and you 'might' actually get a response or at the very least it might get to his personal secretary and passed along to him to look into. He may even change his opinion after reading this article and it's comments.

Typical corporate over reaction. OK the nose thing was a little naughty. I doubt they would have sent that out to a customer really. The fart thing wasn't even worth mentioning as he was probably only faking it and I fail to see how the food was contaminated like that.
Basically this is pretty lame and Dominos are lamer for even rising to it.
It's not just your local bobby or security jobsworth out to spoil photograpers fun either. I am new to photography (Well only the last few years). But in the last year or so I have encountered aggressive and beligerent doo gooder members of the public accusing me of being a pervert (In so many words) on at least 3 occasions.
"Oi! Did you just take a photo of my kids?"
"No? Why would I? Even if I did it's not against the law in a public space"
"Well don't! Or else!" etc.
Just last Saturday whilst out in a wooded area on a public foothpath I was accosted by a nutter with a big dog because I took a snapshot of a tyre swing behind a fence overgrown with foilage. Angrily he came marching up to me
"What do you wanna take a photo of that for?"
"That's my business" I replied.
There then ensued an argument with threats and cries of 'protecting the children' (Remember this was Saturday and not a child was to be seen anywhere and in fact we were the only two people there).
I ended up retreating mainly because we were alone (No witnesses), he had a big dog and I wanted my equipment to remain intact.
Effing numpties and Mirror/Sun waiving twats!
I have now printed up some cards to take with me to be handed out whenever these idiots approach me.
It reads thus.
"I am NOT a sexual predator or pervert.
I am NOT a terrorist.
I am an ‘Amateur Photographer’ enjoying my hobby in a PUBLIC SPACE and as such under current law I am free to peacefully take photos of anything and anyone (Including minors). There is no entitlement, nor expectation of privacy within a public area by anyone. Any attempt to molest me or my equipment will be seen as assault and as such I WILL contact the police and press charges. If you do not wish to be photographed, then please ask me politely. I will stop doing so and delete any images already taken (If any). If you wish to view some samples of my work please visit
http://blah.com
I Thank you for your understanding in this matter."
The website is just a temporary site as I don't trust anyone enough to send them to my Flickr site.
Such is the shit that photographers are having to put up with these days.
The tiny sensor used means that it just means more noise. Cut the crap with the pixel count and concentrate on what really counts. The optics.
One of the camera manufacturers (Olympus I think) has stated they are getting out of the megapixel wars and concentrating on what actually counts in making a photo better.
