Re: A negative review (adversely) affected their business

Problem is yelp removes good reviews over time. IF you buy advertising with them they make it go away.

Re: dont people get penalised...

The US has the same thing. In some states it works this way. you must have an lawyer who is not going to make any money of the case sign off saying that the suit has merit. In other states the court will review the case to see if it has and validity.

Re: He's not an alleged slave

That guy must be bat shit insane to request asylum in the US. There is a little know law that says if an American kills another American in foreign county, they can be tried in the US.

Not were I live. Theft is defined as taking some thing that does not belong to you. So if I take your car but give after few days no theft happened right

Re: The computer tricked you?

yes I got tricked because I'm use to see those options at time of installation. Not aware that there are two separate installers. Strange thing that I've noticed. on IE it prompts to download the tool bar. IF you use FF it prompts you to download chrome.

kain preacher

You have to pay attention when at the download page. I got tricked that way once.

Re: @kain preacher - What a load of crap.

But that is how they advertise it .Look on the box. It will say 500gb not 500gb minus OS.

kain preacher
Bronze badge

Re: What a load of crap.

SO when you buy a PC with 500gb HD you would be upset is 14GB was used by the OS ?

Re: MS tried with just windows and lost.

Lindows

\

As early as 2002, a court rejected Microsoft's claims, stating that Microsoft had used the term "windows" to describe graphical user interfaces before the product, Windows, was ever released, and the windowing technique had already been implemented by Xerox and Apple many years before.[4] Microsoft kept seeking retrial, but in February 2004, a judge rejected two of Microsoft's central claims.[5] The judge denied Microsoft's request for a preliminary injunction and raised "serious questions" about Microsoft's trademark. Microsoft feared a court may define "Windows" as generic and result in the loss of its status as a trademark.

Re: wow

The trade mark is Milton Bradley Monopoly. You can not trade mark a single word in the dictionary in the US.

kain preacher
Bronze badge

Re: wow

Thing is you can't trade mark a word like memory in the US. It's to generic. MS tried with just windows and lost.

Re: Yeah, right

In the US they have to tell you how they caught you. Here is an example. You get pulled over for a traffic violation and then they found drugs on you. You caught him during a traffic stop. The cop can not just say the drugs are the supects. He has to explain how he caught the person.

Re: wha?

Only reason I can think of is that if Canada passes it would make it easier to in the US. Then the EU can say well we don't have a choice.

kain preacher
Bronze badge

What they mean is you had to send it in directly to HP and not HP authorized repair centers.

Re: Fair OS pricing?

But it's now tided to your Itunes account. With the last 2 version of Mac OS it can tell who's Itunes account it was purchased under. As result if the itunes account does not match you don't get all of the programs Ilive programs.

Re: ...the forest through the trees

You can hack the install config file to report win 7 as Vista . As long as it has vista drivers you will be ok. I've done it before and had no issues.

Re: Ahem

Hmm the first ARM cpu (ARM1) was started in 1983 was finished in 1985 and was used a coprocessor in the BBC. The ARM cpu that apple help create was the ARM6 which came out in 1992. The ARM 610 (a ARM6 derivative )is what apple used in the Newton.
