Problem with carrying guns..
I remember the police in america had a serious issue with being shot by their own gun after detaining a criminal.

From the Microsoft download page:
"Watch the calendar. The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you'll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010. You'll also need to install the programs and data that you want to use."
I wonder how much they will make from people phoning tech support puzzled why their computers are sporadically shutting down.
I also wonder how many people are going to stubbornly keep on using their RC1 installation up until june, despite knowing the above.
The listed UK price is £250. so if you use the £:$ at the current rate of 1.65 you get £180. Add 15% vat to that = £208. So there a direct £42 being lifted out your pocket. Enough for an extra game.
Or in other words... or erm... numbers: Americans would be paying $412.5 for the $300 machine.
Or 37.5% more expensive.
What was their reason exactly?
What about ex criminals who go round to schools to educate kids on the real life perils of having too much of the good stuff, or the repercussions of being the gravity that effects goods on the back of lorries?
I'm sure that Section 28 wouldn't look kindly on these people.
So kids are just gona have to do with Nancy Reagan telling them to 'Just say no!'
Palm's biggest mistake here was the über fail of not realizing that iTunes supports plugins for hardware devices, 'iTunes Device SDK' as its called. Its the same SDK that was used to make the P2P sharing inside itunes that caused a but if a guffaw a few years ago.
Unless apple has cut support for the SDK (which had to be privately requested in the first place), the only reason why palm would choose the silliness of making the pre pretend its an iPod would be to try and circumvent apple's DRM.
How is pre installing the browser different to pre installing the installer for the browser; and not providing any way for people to access other web browsers without first installing IE?
Do they expect us to have a second computer that doesn't run windows to download the non M$ browser (as a pc would initially required you to use internet exploiter) .
... because otherwise... there aint much difference to just installing IE by default.
" Dell has dropped the 10's 160GB hard drive for an 8GB SSD"
Lord no, thats not enough for a decent windows (or mac os x) install.
Im yet to be sold on SSDs, especially the way that modern OS's use virtual memory - but on the other hand: I'm guessing that the product isn't meant to last more than a year.
Cant believe it, they missed the most iconic miss-quote from Silence of the Lambs:
"I had his liver, with a nice Chianti... <suck> <suck> <suck> <suck>"
is of course
"I had his liver with some fava beans, and a nice Chianti... <suck> <suck> <suck> <suck>"
Or maybe Dr Lector was in a special Atkins diet remake.
Cutting the throttle on a car without having any information on the surrounding environment would be possibly one of the most insane concepts put forth.
Last time I looked on a motorway 90% of cars we going 80. Imagine tripping choker (one would guess there is a 10% leeway on the regulator as there is on speedcameras) and the trafic bend you smashing into each other, or overtaking and having to give it a bit more peddle and the choke kicking in.
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there slightly dodgy about portraying kids uploading pictures of their home and themselves to the internet without parental supervision
"My name's Kathy, i like to use MSN to talk to my friends. My friend sammy told me to upload pictures of me in the bath to the internet because he likes to see bubbles. It was really easy - i didn't even need mommy[/mummy] to help me"
etc.
Because:
1) most people use their built in iSights for messing around in photobooth not for video conferencing.
2) if your shelling out £2000 for a display, you gona want more than a crappy 1.3MP camera in it.
3) why would you release a product thats not going to be refreshed again for probably 2 years with 2 year old technology in it.
4) Still produces a higher quality image when scaled down.
5) Its a marketing thing.
This can only mean that they are shitting their pants over google's open android, and symbian being banded together by nokia and co into a free offering.
That or they are getting ready to drop windows mobile, and replace it with zune os - freezing the development and just doing a windows ME and shoving a new colour on the theme and making it crash more; squeezing as much blood out of Win Mob while they can - without spending any more.
Seriously, i think they are trying to pitch at vendors who use their own in house software for low end phones (like nokia's S30)- overlooking the fact that most of these phones dont need smartphone features. They seem to be overlooking the fact that the main cost in a smartphone is the large screen on which to view the content and the chip to power the bloated OS.
The most likely cause is that on of the blades on the turbine snapped off and hit the other causing it to bend (It's spinning you see :P ).
They are probably trying to cover up the fact that there is a design flaw in hundreds of the wind turbines that have been peppered across the few pieces of countryside left, what better way than aliens.
When ever governments test secret military craft they often encorage the alien reports because it instantly discredits the sightings.
Maybe they have something in common with the wind turbine. "erm... It didn't break; Aliens did it!"
In short they make the human form cylons to replace dead relatives, and from what you can see ; grandaddy Adama lost his daughter (Bill's sister) - but no sight of Little bill in the trailer.
This gives a possible reason behind the "final five" with them being made as human as possible (and old one-eye's age)
It also points towards a strong possibility that adama is the 5th cylon.

I think that its more likely that teachers would like the option of talking about it when brought up because thats part of the job - you know; making people know what things are.
The fact that most science teachers in the uk would try hard not to break down in hysterical laughter if the person implied that it was true (or should be taught as an equal theory/fact/theory), however, isn't shown by the way this study has been interpreted.
I think 1/3 is higher than the number of hardcore christians that believe in creationism in this country, so maybe the crazzies are congealing in the teaching industry.
