Re: On second thoughts
Dark choc Digestives that is all
now unable to connect.....
to comments over 3.
Again just a full feed to currents would have been better.
Rampant
Drop box Usendit etc etc etc, nobody whats to wait to do it the documented and authorised way, so just use whatever they get told to by there departments, untill the first real leaks start like when USB sticks got left on trains then maybe they will understand.
Re: Watches are already on the decline
Exactly what i am waiting for, at the correct price and reliability, havent seen one that fits my bill yet but i am looking and WILL by one.
Re: Kinnect
Thats the reason we ended up with one in our house anyways, the boy aged 7 is potter mad and loves it, seen it in action and am quite impressed, did give me an excuse to get a bigger tv down stairs you can run a ps3 over scart. (Well you CAN, but urgh)
Good game
Got this for the boy for xmas with his ps3, played it with him and the cutsceans have just the right amount of comedy and he loves it, made him want to watch the films which luck would have it CH4 have shown and are on the tivo box, watching in 1 hour chunks as hes only 7.
Also 65 quid for that joypad!! erk.
If your going for a full house id Recomend adding Andromeda to the list, just went through it on netflix, only reason i signed up for the trial.
A bit Meh
Some good episodes, but mostly meh, but then i was in the B5 camp all the way, b5 was the last thing i watched with my sci fi loving parents regularly while at home, before Uni\drink\girls etc.
Freeview?? catchuptv app should sort that.
1) GPU are better at these types of calculations maths/simulation, a CPU has to cope with a lot wider range of number crunching.
2) you dont, this is like leaving an older GPU in your system and setting it in the control panel to be used for Cuda/Co Prosessing, you can do it and not have a monitor attached.
Erm...
"Battlefield has taken online encounters to new numerical heights, it but has only ever looked to extend the vehicular combat that Halo laid down all those years ago."
Your kidding right? Codename Eagle ?? april 2000
i give up.
Hook line..
...and sinker, the dig is there to bring you out to make posts like this, predictable? apple has made billions out of the same type of people.
As a note one user..
...6 months in and it still does eveything i need, so more cpu and a slightly better screen, both of witch im satified with atm, hmmm dosnt scream at me to update guess ill see what Note 3 is like towards the end of contract, that said nice evolution and it does seem to iron out a few niggles will be interesting where they take it from here and what software features they will dribble back to the original.
Put it back please...
... Title says it all really, the comments are what makes the site, and it didnt take that much space.
Whos bright idea was this neways, i sense to many fizzy pops while drawing up this idea, obviously dosnt use the site from a readers perspective.
The reg's unique selling point has been buried.
Re: Meh
Im in some agreement with you, got it as soon as i could played a few rounds and it all just feels too loose a bit like TF2 does.
Maybe im spoiled by to much battle field and the likes but dosnt feel accurate, and i played 1.6 when you had to manually install it.
and for those with 25 GB ...
as long time hotmail user we get 25 gig of space tied with unlimited data plans makes this worth using for me, been waiting for this thanks!
Salad
People allways focus on the chips etc, however the main thing needed for a good parmo is quality salad and a nice thick garlic sauce! Speaking as a long time parmo partaker from darlo.
My personal view...
.... is that these shows are the down fall of civilisation, and should all be banned, they must drop the colective IQ of kids by at least 20-30 points, and show that as long as you self obsessed you can do what ever you want.
Everyone involved in making this type of program should kill themselves.
Seconded
The only reason i still use windows is games, tried dual booting but cant get used to it, i used to run a virtualbox Ubuntu desktop to sit on top or secondary screen but to much swapping about i just plumped for windows, if steam pulls this off, it may just be the break point needed. Now if EA do the same with Origin, then the writing will be on the wall for windows gaming.
I miss my 65XE
Wrote my first programs even had a computer desk for it, Zybex was the best game i had for it, sort of missed the ST/Amiga thing could never afford one, didnt get back into computers till Uni and the start of the net. Good times and slow loading.
Processor choice is still linked to GPU preference, amd - amd, nvidia - intel, or have i missed a meeting?
Internet on tablets and smart phones and there apps. Gaming on my PC can't see this changing much in the next few years
Re: The [Apple/Samsung] is better than the [Samsung/Apple] you own now
I got big hands, from 1 to = key on my keyboard tip of little finger to tip of thumb
Re: Are Apple shooting themselves in the foot?
It is funny the shine on the apple is starting to fade, and not just in the mobile world either, a lot of people that have gulped the hype down for years are starting to realize that apple are just a company that makes products with just as many flaws as any other company, and not a way of life. There still seen as a status symbol for middle and upper management types but a lot of the ordinary folk who have now been trained by apple are looking around at the options available to them, and they are selecting the best from the alternatives Samsung, HTC and Motorola. nokia has lost the ball so much it’s sad.
Re: The [Apple/Samsung] is better than the [Samsung/Apple] you own now
Id say the galaxy note released last year wasnt half assed, i was tempted to wait for the S3 but having used my note for a couple of months it fits the bill just right for me and it still has a larger screen than the s3, and as i get used to it even the spen is starting to get regular use.
hmmm
might look into this sounds like it might be worth doin
Re: Don't understand @Dcope
I recently upgraded to the Galaxy note on the Unlimited internet 1000 plan, so i have unlimited internet, i think your thinking about the One plan that had teathering included and was when i looked just 5 quid a month more so decided against that plan, noticed this has come down to just quid difference may change across.
Re: 3 MiFi
I have one but with andriod tethering and larger phones it sits on a draw getting unused, in reference to the original article, im sure on mine you could access the sd card contents but you had to go through the built in web pages to do it not from windows filesharing.
Re: Don't understand
Three seem to be able to intercept the traffic, or did so last night as im moving house and my virgin dosnt get installed till next week, so had to cough up the extra fiver for the months teathering and looks like it take a few hours before the update gos through.
Re: I wish there was a notes app built in
This is what i thought and with a galaxy note i can scribble on them:)
Great as allways, the start of another ware between the PFY and the BOFH? This could get messy.
/awaits further twists
Re: 7GB vs 25GB
Thanks for that, any tips for best andriod app for sky drive quick check dosnt give an offical app as yet.
Re: Europe vs Asia
Agreed, but flat rate hotspot enabled phones are becoming the norm, can see lots of people cutting the land line just like they did with mobiles. How many have a land line only used for broadband or as part of a package? once mobile data is good enough and can be share cheaply with other devices i can only see it rising, i know im helping push up that ratio my my galaxy note on threes unlimited data plan, the home broad band is only used for gaming and catchup tv atm.
Re: So what?
Having worked in primary schools, i couldnt teach the kids without wanting to give half of them a good clip round the ear, thinks that why theres so few of them any more.
(And yes i got a few clips myself from teachers growing up, hurt at the time but dont hold it against them now im older and wiser)
Not Surprised
Having recently upgraded "Galaxy Note", they seem to be the only quality alternative for those who dont want a fruity phone, HTC are looking good, but Samsung seem to be ahead of the game ATM.
Re: The planets are aligned!
Sorry dont speak Welsh.
/coat
just finished first play through....
....... And i cant see what all the negetive fuss is about no spoilers, but the combat is engrosing, the story touching in parts and really funny in others but is paced to perfection, the ending thoughtfull and not to over the top.
Will give it a rest for a little the start my renegade play through at a slower pace, well all 3 games can take some time:)
Ive played some sequels in my time as a pc gamer, take any one of the Mass effect games and they are good on their own, taken as a trilogy the whole pushes it past anything in gameing and i am really glad i had to re do my play through from 1-2-3 made everything freash and so much more enjoyable, multiplayer? havent even tried it and was happy with the outcome i got this time.
Even if you dont buy it now promise yourself youll get all 3 at some point in sales etc and enjoy the ride.
Re: Not sure on this
"PC version suffers from Origin - I have Steam on it, been told you can't have both."
Utter tosh , i run both no issues at all
me1, straight disc,
me2 steam
me3 origin,
all installed and all work, this is not a prosteam/origin verdict on drm etc etc etc, just saying they work for me.
Well so far..
I have spent the new year gradually re working through my Ariel Shep paragon through me1 and me2, as i lost my saves, completed me2 at 12.10 am last night and unlocked my copy of me3 and carried straight on, it didnt inport my sheps face but I recreated her more or less, and carried on.
Had to call quits at 3am and have been keeping going at work on Nicotine\caffine\sugar and i dare say i will be there at the same time tonight, red bull will be purchased on way home.
I will hold my thoughts on the ending till i get there but that will be a way off now and I too am planning a playboy renegade run through when finished my paragon play through.
Personally im loving having Liara back and when i find what Tali is up to the old ME1 team will be back, Miranda was a poor sub and the shadow broker DLC was too short.
On a side note it just me or has everyone had a boob job since me2?
then your watching it wrong..
maybe a Doctor could help..?? /coat -->door
but..
Surely the only human DNA would be yours?
Well.........
As one of those LEA support bods who apparently had no idea, i spent most of the 6 years working in primary schools i got at most 1 full day a week to main tain upto 60+ machines 30 laptops and 2-3 servers and printers and often asked these same questions, why dont we do vanilla systems? why are we locked in? why not linux etc etc etc ,many many times. No one was interested.
Duff hardware more so the recent cc3/4 kit, and having to bypass all the god auwfull admin front ends to get anything working.
Co workers had no spark or intrest in IT.
The cuts came and allmost all schools slashed their budgets so when the reductions came i took the money and left.
It wasnt just RM it was LEA BSF and BECTA all had a good slurp of the gravy train and left those trying to help in the school with their hands tied and acting as proxies when things went bad between the management and the schools and getting no support from anyone, glad im out of it and from what i saw in the schools i weep for the future.
The way things are going this will end up on a 32 or 48 month contract, still cant justify a 2 year contract when phones seem to break on me:(
