PC games vs Console

another fact is that us pc gamers have had amazing titles in the past that were designed by gamers, but now they are all being dumb downed for the kids console market and they have to meet their shareholders expectations so titles are rushed, thus depth & story suffers, its a sad decade for gamers as corporations now churn out their cruddy titles by the bucket load.

I ran a comparison of the film wolverine on blu-ray & DVD using my £40 Toshiba Up-Scaling DVD & PS3.

Up close on my LG 42LH5000 the difference was vast but as soon as i sat back down on my settee 15 foot away, the difference was not as impressive as i expected, yes it did look better, but the difference was asimilar to that of changing a regular scart to a RGB one, but not worth the over inflated prices of neither the hardware or media for it.

I then tried it on my daughters 19" lcd & the image was almost identical.

TBH unless you have a large throw away income people sick to DVD.

SONY public relations blogger arguments: steam does not hold water as copying anti consumer behaviour is a disgrace, so sony copying steam is pure contempt for customers. not that steam is available through ANY console.

I'm sure we will have global price fixing where the uk and europe gets screwed over by the RIAA/IFPI just as they forced apple to price fix, i'm sure the same will be done with amazon by denying outside region credit card payments where the same content can be found for half the cost and piped from the same servers!
