Congratulations!

I remember them well they where in my primary school and some still in my secondary (slowly at the time being replaced by windows 3.1 i think) always fun to use and tough as old boots.

I will raise a bear in the pub to this wonderfull bit of kit wonder if i can get one for my retro tech collection

he heee

Anonymous Bastard are you my old supivisor she had that to?

I can relate to this story

Michael Jolly

did i miss something?

June last year i needed a new PC and yes it came loaded with VISTA, i never really had a problem with it after installing vista again to remove packard bells Crapware it runs like a charm and still does it only gets a ratting of 3.9 but thats mostly down to a crap video card and not much else.

Is it ready? the answer is mostly for home and maybe not for business

Just my two cents

Michael Jolly

less like..

..My mum more like my nans, excellent BOFH

Michael Jolly

Just a diffrent view

As i person with all the current gen system and some older ones as well. I have to say the least used consel is the PS3 then the wii then the 360. The PS3 main use is as a DVD player cos it upscales old DVD and they look good. the wii is used a fair bit but as i have a lot of 360 games that gets the most play. I do wish sony would get some good games for the P3 the most played is DMC3 and that my GF game not mine!

RE: Typical "blind Apple follower"

My old Ibook lasted just as long (well 3 years for me) and took the same kinda of abuse, in fact its still going as a fraind of mine is useing it now, I like the air its cool it light but to be honest the HDD size is two small and at this time it is more of look how thin i am and i have already bougt a new laptop, but still haveing used Windows/Linux and Mac over the years I do use windows at home and work (XP and vista) and a mac and linux at home each has there advantages but macs tend to be better made and have fewer problems, Though my little EEE PC is a very usefull little thing and at this time proberly is better if you need a light laptop for websurfing, though this may change

Just my two cents.

Michael Jolly

make vista better..

.. I thought it was sopse to be the best (wow indeed).haveing used Vista/ XP and Mac OSX (since 10.3) i think i may stick to my Mac its curent uptime is 26 days 14 hours and a copple of minutes in change, Vista uptime was 7 hours before its last restart, and it BSOD seven times since i got it in june last year, OSX has done it 3 times so far.

Pirate

wonder...

.. If they ship to the UK, mind you with the amount of boats sinking in the channel lately that may not be a good thing. (pirate icon for the MS Napoli)

Michael Jolly

I will stick..

... with my viewty and my T-mobile flext plan for the moment it offers a better deal IMO,

Re:Strange

I been in to the two nearest me and one has Blueray/ HDDVD and the other does not which is strange as there are only a few miles apart, theough i do notice that the HD-DVD section in other big shops is shrinking and Blue-ray section are larger by nearly half.

Michael Jolly

kinda worrying...

..if its true, it will leave lots of people up the (vista) creak and i doubt any PC running vista (now) will be able to run it to its fullest

Michael Jolly

Re:If that really is the future...

Just to be a star trek fan for a moment the Enterprise was constructed according to its dedication Plaques at San Francisco yards

Michael Jolly

beam me up..

its so .. dirty when was the future dirty?

Michael Jolly

Die Hard

You do get the feeling that the CIA just watched Die Hard 4.0, and thought is that even possible? and like any good government agency set up a task force to find out, of course they find its very nearly imposable to do but report back that it could be done so the taskforce can continue to be funded we call that "government",
