Holmes

In only 7 days time EA Games "its in the game"(tm) will announce their full take over of The Register.

Looking forward to the sports style commentary, and insightful opinions of the players, no hold on, we get that already...

colour me racist but....

I know "where is the IT angle questions are frowned upon" however this sticky sweet story followed by that of grumpy joes flooring yesterday, I can't wait until next week's serialisation of the story of the invention of the coloured biro, which is shaping up to be a fascinating film.

This is a brilliant story, and long may you keep writing similar pieces, if you could prehaps come up with something more involving meerkats and bic biro's then I can smell a pullitzer...

Spookcall Launch

I must have missed that party... Who was there? Yvette Fielding and the rest of the ghost hunter crew?

Anyway I digress, CLID spoofing is pretty easy, anyone with direct access to a phone switch or even an asterix/SIP based phone system can set their own caller ID number. Hours of fun can be had with prank phonecalls to mobiles as the phone resolves the incorrect number from its internal directory...

But I wouldn't have thought that a service such as this would have generated much revenue anyway...

Pirate

send him down...

How dumb can you be selling pirated software on ebay?

Things like this really piss me off...

Did he assume that because it was ebay there was no transaction history or paper trail ? I bet he took PayPal too... !!!

If people want to *cough* acquire slightly illegitimate software then there are tried and tested methods for doing so, and buying from ebay isn't one of them. The sort of people who buy this software annoy me too, they should be sought out and fined too.
