Interstate 76 reborn!
When I saw (seen?) that headline, it sent shivers down my neck!
I agree, Reg, dont do that again!
Whats the name of that website again? Oh yes its theregister..
OK, guess ill try .co.uk first, then maybe .com if that doesnt work.
But now, it could be (or soon to be if this trend continues:
theregister.<insert one of a thousand other words here>
Obviously using theregister is a bad example as its an established site and everyone knows its extension, but what about newer sites youve been asked to checkout but the person telling you cant remember the extension?
Wonder if that'll do the rounds again.
Will make it easier for companies to run hundreds of instances of chat at once for multiple accounts to copy/paste rubbish into.
Same here, and now they're in stock I want my original choice of UV!
Mine hasnt turned up yet, Order placed last Saturday.
"Either way, the iPhone is easily Apple’s best iPhone"

I was more frustrated @
..."underage or declared insane."
"Seems legit. That covers the entirety of Facebook's membership."
Was an out of order comment, tet the 7 schmuks who downvoted clearly thought he was right to suggest I am insane since I used facebook.
I use Facebook as a launchpad of many for my music I produce.
I am over 30 and not insane.
Gordon, you are a prick.
"Additionally, the update contains fixes for problems connection with Exchange, bugs in Mail, and problems with Back to My Mac and Notification Center."
Someone's not had their coffee this morning, even whole words are the wrong way round..
Oh well, it is friday after all - Time to give my remaining 10% .. no sorry I meant 110%
Being an ex fasthosts employee, I can say that the SLA is 99.9% uptime and pro-rata refunds were given if they failed to achieve this. It does not cover any kind of shared hosting mind...
And this was 3+ years ago.
Sounds like an iDevice worshipper isnt happy about having to wait for a larger iPAD so decides to write an article about it to help me waste my lunch hour!
So, you dont use Windows, MS office or anything MS created legally then....
I doubt it will be long before someone finds an excuse to have ads on all BBC channels.
I barely watch live TV because of them, usually record a show and watch later,
SAD STRANGE PEOPLE.
....dont make glasses strong enough to read the text on your diagrams, aparently.
Am I the only one here that was expecting a rear end shot of a lady with a similar surname?
If there was so much abundance of the stuff then it would in effect become worthless.
Diamonds would be as valuable as sand.
I DONT CARE
How the F**K is this news worthy?
What happens if, on our way to these far away places, we smash into an asteroid or something?
Spaceship = obliterated..?
Or will it 'flow' around the ship?
You lot have just blown my mind.
Would love to be alive when all of this becomes a reality :-/
/The post is required, and must contain letters./
Dont not be down voting me people...
Are you american, because that double negative shiz really screwed my head up
"Apple had not returned a request for comment at the time of publication. ®"
Surely, you can drop this line at the end of your reports now ;-)
If its 0844 or 0845 its about 10p a minute, or completely free on some phone operators
Talk talk, free 0844 0845 as standard with my package
Where did you get your figure from, stop calling up them chat up lines.
I used to work for Fasthosts, and I have to say, that when the shit hits the fan technically, they really do try to resolve it as quickly as possible.
I know they have a lot of bad press, but from someone that knows the inside scoop, they will have been pulling every resource available to sort the issue out.
Let the downvotes commence!.... :-/
Alex Kid in Miracle world!
Why dont we all just start using tweeters as subwoofers...
A very basic notebook replacement?
What a basic replacement, for double the price, how the F*** did you come to that conclusion?
You can use post codes, I did this yesterday, you can also go by house number too!!! and its pretty bloody accurate!
Ive had an action pack Win7 pro running for about 3 weeks now, and its erm, good!
older programs (namely my music prod software) not working :-(
and it freezes up every so often, when strangly I click and drag a box to highlight more than about 10 items..bam,, and randomly freezes every now and then with IE8 open for more than about an hour, not had the time to trial and error this,
BUT apart from that I really like it, especially as it was free! :-D
for those of us in the UK, this effects us how? We will still get ripped off.....
I work part time in a pub to help out a friend, and one thing I have noticed is that when a customer wants to pay by card scary things happen.
If the chip is damaged/un-readable by our machine then it just says to use the mag stripe.
I did an experiment with my own bank card by taking a hammer and a sharp knife to damage the chip reading surface (the simcard like bit) and was told by the card machine after 3 attempts to use the mag stripe.
Now imagine this....
Mr Bloggs has his card details stolen, and a duplicate is made from the info on the mag stripe. To simply get around the chip and pin bit, all he has to do is use a damaged chip and then all he has to do is wait for the check out person to use the mag stripe so he can then forge the signiature.....
Am I being a bit naive or not?
My experiment worked, and I know cards can be cloned.....
Anyone else have any thoughts?
see ya there......
would the fact that as the reg states in an article that VM are goign to use gmail as their email service for customers?
Maybe that has something to do with it, maybe VM are rubbing off onto google????
Paris cos well, she could rub up against me any time!
I have caught up with countless ex school buddies and work mates through facebook. Its a whole lot better than friends[god this sites old and painfull]united......
to go back to XP, but cant afford a licence... if I could even get one,,, can I not still substitute my VistaHomePrem licence for XP.. im sure by 2014 ill upgrade, by I dont want to now...
I make music and my ASIO drivers really dont like vista at all, which is a bit of a pain considering every one of my music production programs rely on ASIO :-(
Re : gamers
What a load of rubbish!
Where do you get your info on the fact that gamers usually use pirated OS's?!!?!?
That comment of yours REALLLLLY annoyed me!
Could you elaborate on what you mean by
"Since nothing works with Vista anyway, at least with Wine I have a chance"
I use vista, and I use it for producing music. I havnt found anything that wont work with vista yet...
And trust me when I say, setting up a pc as studio/mixing hardware, its very important everything works.
The only thing that wont work 100% is sony's sound forge, and thats only until I install .net.. you going to install .net on wine then I take it???
Im going to cry, :-(
All lesbians do is tease us anyway!
Well I guess there might be some kind of software to use with the set-top boxes, where you have to download the movie over your crappy 8ish mbps lines and THEN stream by good old wifi to the box. I downloaded 1 gig in 45 mins the other day, and thats flat out @ 600Kbps (notice the capital K)
so the only option is for them to either allow people to stream low quality standard def video (like bbci player quality) or allow the download of the entire film before playing it on your telly via the box..
Its not that bad really.
3gb can be done in under 3 hours, but for a quick fix and an unplanned friend gathering, i would still opt for blockbuster..
paris because she knows a lot about "a quick fix"
I dont have a coat, its too hot
iwtih iall ithis iitalk iand ieverything istarting iwith i..i..ii ithought ii iwould iget iinvolved
my name is idan, and i live in iuk, and dont have a bloody ipod!
Ive been with nvidia since the tnt days, only before that was with 3dfx.
Maybe I do need to be shown the AMD/ATI ways and move away from intel/nvidia
Of course, you know im joking,,, right?
Get service pack one from update website??
3 Days ago, service pack one was available to me through vista's "Windows Update" within the O/S
Took about 45 minutes to install, and I have had zero issues so far.
FYI the PC is an Acer T671-ME7L (c2d E6400/2gig Ram/RS600 Chipset)
I too can hear the device.
There is one installed at a bowling alley just down the road from me, I hear it every day on the way to work, as I have to walk down that street.
Whats even more annoying, is that (dont flame please), I smoke, and when ever I go bowling, I obviously have to go outside for a smoke, but the only place there is an ashtray outside, is right next to the sound emmiter!
Im only 23, and the sound really gets to me. To be honest, with the last 6 years of me being a DJ, and playing loud music on headphones, im very supprised I can still hear this moquito.
My 20 year old sis, has had a baby, and she wont go near the bowling alley, because shes affraid of either the noise hurting the baby, or even, waking him up if hes asleep on the way in.
Anyway, Rant over, but I still think these devices need to be abolished.
I dont understand, why is that unit in the picture above is so BIG!
If it was up to me, it would be in a super slim case, with a slot loading dvd drive, ULV processor and 2gig of SO-DIMM ~(Spelling) Ram.
If you can fit a CPU/gfx card/ram/HDD/dvd drive in a laptop, then im sure you can fit the aove into a much smaller case with an SSD drive + slot loading DVD drive??
/gets coat before being shouted at.
