Google's encrypted search casts shadow on web analytics

Eff the anal ysers

Good on you, Google. Go ahead and make SSL access the default. Web analytics firms are just bottom dwelling scavengers. Create a way to make money by offering something of value that doesn't depend entirely upon the works of others. Death to Clicky and their ilk. Go ride Microsoft's coat tails. You deserve each other.

We don't depend in any way upon search terms to draw web visits. Yet we can barely keep up with demand. But then we sell something of value that people need, instead of pipe dreams. We aren't running a money grubbing scam. Good product at a fair price sells!

iPad forces operators to shave their SIMs

microSIM pleases network operators

The reason is simple. It's smaller/different because at&t and others want to charge for each device you connect to the network. Why else would they frown so heavily on a Jesus phone tethering app. Apple can accommodate this by requiring a different SIM in the iPad and iPhone. I don't see most appletards using a sharp knife or a hole punch to alter their existing SIMs. That would defile the purity of the Jesus phone, now wouldn't it? No better to pay a separate fee to connect the Jesus netbook and Jesus phone simultaneously, even though that makes at&t's you can't surf and talk without two devices on Verizon ads moot. Oh well, I'll abandon this simple reason for the smaller SIM if apple incorporates microSIM into the very next Jesus phone release.

It's all about the network revenue.

Why biofuels?

Biofuels schmiofuels! What those boys need is something like those di-lithium crystals. Quick Dubya, drop some funds on DARPA/NASA to scour the galaxy for crystals so we won't have to play nice with no one. Heeyuck!

Dismantling a Religion: The EFF's Faith-Based Internet

Jay Hawk

Straight facts? Get 'em straight

First of all, the EFF is an acronym for the Electronic Frontier Foundation, nothing about "Freedom" there. Comcast is not using an "honest" method of slowing down the bandwidth hogs and needs to change methods. Finally we all have a huge interest in seeing that upstream bandwidth is allocated to individual users and not kept locked up by the content providers.

I'm sorry, but I fail to find religious zealotry in any request for change that the EFF is promoting, just common sense. Typically an engineer sees a technical problem where only a political one exists.
