You have to admit, it's lost its "oooh shiny" factor

I find it incredibly convenient that CNBC narrates over the 10 seconds before the "If you have something that you don't want anyone to know..." bit. Where's the context?
If he's talking about secrets from your wife/family/friend then you're right.
If on the other hand he's talking about the government, they couldn't give a toss that you like whips and chains/are having an affair/think your boss is a wanker
End this sensationalist crap and give us some context!
"At the top we have the real-time tweets coming in. Beneath that we have the top articles on a particular keyword. Beneath each article we pull in the most reputable tweets about that article. We calculate the reputation on how often people tweet, how often they're tweeting spam, how often they're re-tweeted."
In english?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when did SVG become part of HTML5?
SVG = XML image format
HTML != XML
They killed the idea of images and the markup being integrated when they stupidly decided to kill XHTML
On another note, SVG competes with Silverlight too much for them to implement it. Bastards.
"Google's UK search tentacle has decided to ignore the fact that 4 November marks the day in 1890 that Edward, Prince of Wales, inaugurated the City & South London Railway"
So some railway in London is more important than something loved by people all over the country? Would that purely be because it's in London?
Not the centre of the universe you know!
Last year was a good year for Linux - particularly on SCCs. But that ship has sailed - the SCC makers (Asus included) are starting to flock back to Windows-onlyness. Had Canonical/Red Hat/Novell/other capitalised on this and done some marketing for once (instead of relying on word-of-mouth, Linux might've got some higher brand awareness.
But no...
Shame really, as an Ubuntu-only user I'd have liked to see Linux flourish. Maybe if they're *really* quick we might just have time.

By all means don't count the computers people chose to spend THEIR OWN hard earned money on... yes, count the computers they're forced to use at work - that's how to count personal preference.

No, the point was that less people are at work, and therefore do more of their surfing at home.
That is, of course, you know of a way to tell a work computer from a home one?
Paris, cos it makes no difference where her noxt victim is
If someone wants to do something they *enjoy doing* (and that's the key part) then who are you to stand in their way?
If they want to do it they're obviously getting something out of it - even if it is just a warm fuzzy feeling.
On another note, he's being a tad hypocritical not CC'ing his own portait is he not?
Paris, because she enjoys giving herself away
