Re: Opera - top dog. AC@17:17
5 downvotes? I can't understand the mentality of some people here, what on earth did he say that merits a single downvote, let alone 5?

I'm astounded that nobody has mentioned that:
Police charged the (eleven [11] year old) boy with institutional vandalism and criminal mischief and are turning him over to the Cumberland County Juvenile Probation Department.
Eleven, yes 11, year old boy pushed through the septic justice (sic) system. FFS!
Really FFFingS!?
Put my wireless keyboard in the dishwasher, batteries removed obviously. Once the cycle is complete; shake vigorously and place in airing cupboard, leave overnight +a working day; job's a good un! Sparkly keyboard -cat hair -beer -coffee -spittle (from the occasional FotW entry) &c.
Having previously worked in a hot desk environment using crufty, crusty, shitty, disgusting & hairy keyboards, I can say it's a pity their dishwasher was only used for crockery.
I recall one completely talentless, useless, full of piss-and-self-importance, clueless twat on the fast track, universally known as "Shit for brains" trampling on people to get to where filling in spreadsheets counts as work..
I'd better stop this here, as anyone who knows me (I don't hide behind ac or a silly alias) knows who I'm referring to, K? :-)
Beer, coz that's what I'm sampling now
I'm with you on this one:
noun
informal, chiefly British
a person engaged in scientific or technical research:
a computer boffin
a person with knowledge or a skill considered to be complex, arcane, and difficult:
he had a reputation as a tax boffin, a learned lawyer
[Oxford Dictionary]
I'm with you on this, I read El Reg for an interesting redtop-esque take on tech news, one which I enjoy very much.
I'm getting fed up with the constant Apple coverage. I mean, FFS, it's approaching: "APPLE BOG CLEANER FARTS! CHINESE ECONOMY BRACES ITSELF".
The forum is now an echo chamber & on Apple articles a pointless place to post a contrary view. There is an inevitable end to this click-bait shite and the law of diminishing returns may be a good place to start the study.
No. Run a cat5e cable to your telly & forget the above nonsense.
Cat5e cable = <£2, Samsung WiFi adaptor >£40
I've got a gen 6 Samsung gogglebox & it's fantastic, the built in iPlayer displays better quality TV than broadcast (not HD, obviously) & a doddle to use :-).
If I watched itv or 4 I'd be disappointed at the lack of 4od or itvplayer on the gogglebox, but I don't, so I'm not.. Job done.
Paris; as I'm sure she'd like a light touch with the cat5e cable....
