In the words of Al iG
Is it because "I" is Apple?
Re: Rethink the slider
Do you not have a phone that automatically answers whilst on Hands-Free? Or have Apple had that disabled on your phone in a patent dispute?
Re: Re: Jeez
Of course I've read the article, otherwise I wouldn't have seen the icon at the bottom of the screen that I need to press in order to comment. Hang on - Apple might have a patent for that too, El reg watch out, you'll be banned in Germany. Oh and in case you didn't know, yes, Windows Phone does have an icon you need to drag across the screen to unlock, but there's can go left as well as right.
Jeez
Do these patent judges not know anything about tech or even bother to look for prior art. My Windows 6.0 phone pre-dates the iPhone and that has an icon to unlock the screen. This is getting ridiculous.
Of course, the adult movie industry is still very interested in rim products.
Due for another post Jobs crash?
Nobody wins here but the lawyers but then again when you've got as much money as Apple, do they really care?
Perhaps they should rename it
Wall-E
Dutch trains
really annoying that you cant use UK issued bank cards on the Dutch train system ticket machines or at some stations ticket offices.
Ah Google. I've found that the latest version of Kaspersky (2012) doesn't like Chrome so it's not just OpenDNS that seem to have taken a disliking to them at the moment.
Noah Wyle
"And although Wyle hasn’t exactly been a notable success since ER,".
Have you never seen The Librarian?
On second thoughts, I see what you did there.
Pacnet
Not to be confused with the UK PaKnet network of course
How about
Using it for smart metering, especially as it would have more penetration than bluetooth/zigbee.
Yet again, it feels like Facebook is eroding the online privacy of its users by stealth."
If you're that worried about it then you shouldn't be on Facebook, everybody should know by now that there is no such thing as privacy on that site not even as an option.
Please stop quoting £220 as the price
It's available for under £200 at nearly all the top game hardware on-line sites
£220
You need to look around. It's now available for under £200 in most places you'd normally buy this type of thing from.
SNOOD
Ban em. Red card anyone who wears them and then ban the player.
I'm surprised BT haven't waded in with this for its use

Duty free
You can already take liquids bought from duty free shops on board planes in the EU, it's liquids that aren't bought in the duty free area that you can't.
hmmm
You might find the tomatoes Klingon a bit too much.
It's not just the iPhone
I've found HTC has the problem as well. If you run the bluetooth, GPS and charge the phone in your car (which is perfectly reasonable if like me you also us the phone as your primary GPS), the phone will heat up a lot and you'll see that your GSM reception goes right down or drops off altogether. I've had this happen on a XDA Ignito (P3600) and the newer HTC HD2.
Hmm.
Is it me, or does that video just show falling with style in slo-mo?
my most enthusiastic contrafribblarities to the sender of this mail.
I'm sure they are anus-peptic, phrasmotic, even compunctious to have caused us all such pericombobulation.
Data Protection??
So what if it shows a photo of your house and since the photo was taken (these photos appear to be about 8 months old at least) you've had some work done in order to sell the house. The photo on Google Maps will show the house pre-work, so if a potential buyer goes to google maps to check the house out and then decides not to buy, where do you stand legally?
Sony
Sony won the Blu-Ray wars beacuse they finally managed to co-ordinate three different parts of teh business - consumer electronics, games division and the movie division, all three being one of the biggest players in their respective markets. If they can keep doing that with future product launches then watch out.
I still don't use a lot of MP3's, i'm still a CD and dare i say it Vinyl man.
Boo
Only North America & Canada, bah, is this becoming available in Europe as well? Us Brits are a giving nation, just wait until CIN night on Friday and you'll see, besides wanted one for my son to learn on.
