MPs battle to save great British pub

Brewing companies own fault

Ever since back in the late 80's the government saw a quick way to make a buck out of allowing the brewers to start buying each other out and replacing the competition with their product, pubs have been on the decline. Its an envitable outcome that people have lost interest in the mass marketed corporate compliance looking beer houses.

Bring back the Firkin pubs I say!

Customs officer won award for most stupid annoying reason to stop someone

They have "in house" competitions to see who can upset passengers the most. Surely the UK airport security has gone daft in lowering themselves to this ridiculous level? What about t-shirts with pictures of teddy bears – thats surely going to indicate some kind of terrorist rebel, or how about a t-shirt with the word BOMB on it? Very dangerous.

I was stopped in Teeside recently because the bottle of camera lens cleaning solution (<100ml of course) was in the wrong size ziplock bag. Obviously a terrorist threat if ever...

Sheer madness.

Exec sounds death knell for games consoles

Before there was home computing - there was GRANDSTAND

Well I remember my Grandstand gaming console back in 1978 I loved it. That was 4 years before I got my first computer. So I say poppycock. Consoles have been around for much longer that home computers. So why is that going to change now? Are MS scared of loosing a market and so will close it down before its taken away.
