Ive just phoned em up on the freephone number, given them my mobile number, a false name, false address and had my details removed! So, suggest people do the same and fill the database with false names, addresses and other details...
But why is this shit opt-out!!!!!

Sadly, i HAVE to use vista else my hd tv just doesnt work properly on my hd laptop if i use (much preferred) XP.
I was lucky??, i got a vista ultimate key from technet as an old company subscribed but i am not paying 300 quid for the top end W7 flavour.

Many years ago, back in the halcyon days of windows 95/98 we had a customer phone up explaining that her computer would turn on and then suddenly stop, we dug further to discover the machine was hanging at POST.
Asking her what the last thing she did was, nothing she replied, just turned it on but then proceeded to ramble on about how she would need a plumber to fix this...
A Plumber? i asked (by now i'd activated the speaker phone so the other chaps could hear this)..
yes she said a plumber.. We were now of course all thinking she had had a leak or a flood and obviously some thing was water damaged, like the keyboard or something..
Can i just ask why you think you need a plumber to fix your PC i enquired??

Im an ex IT proffesional and am sick of having to repair PC's where fuck-wit users have heard something bad about IE7/8 and then, without the slightest comprehension of what or WHY they are installing another browser, phone my support desk up to tell me that, and i quote, " some one told me internet explorer was bad so now i have installed foxfire or oprah and i cant get the interweb." Cue the old addage of "if it isnt broken WHY did you fix it."
Im sorry but no browser or standards will stop cretins pushing the wrong button or listening to GIBA (Good Intention Bad Advice). The point is this, your avergae joe doesnt care, so long as he can surf porn he'll be happy. IE allows them to do that and allows me to quickly fix the machine.

Up until recently i was with sky max for 18 months, at the time of sale was told it was a totally unlimited package, so i took FULL advantge of that fact.
I downloaded hundreds of terrabytes of data in that 18 months and not once did sky complain...
I've no idea about scientology......
