solomon not entirley correct

solomon said: 'lets face it; I don't think there's a person who will read this who wouldn't grab some mega-bucks if they thought they could do it...'

well i can tell you that you're wrong about that..

some people have enough morals to know and choose what is right, and some even understand that greed is a bad thing.

you may think that i'm only saying that as a justification for not having megabucks, or just plain misconstrued self-rightiousness, but you would not be correct about that either.

though most are indeed selfish greedy fools, we are not all like that. some are more human and less animal than others.

never intended for resale?

yeah, i also think this sounds very much like someone out there (even possibly a large corporation) may be both knobling BT and expanding their 'facilities' at the same time...

.. unless it's just plain ol knobling bt.. why (else) would anyone want that equipment?

since this equipment is far from being common, it's possible that it was never intended to be re-sold or re-used, but just disposed of, to screw BT over. seems to me that BT have been asking for it with their actions which are clearly unethical, and that they've gotten away with it.

if the system says you're someone else

...and good on these people finding a voice. one that says NO.

i only have one grave major concern about ID cards...

i understand very clearly that this system will do exactly the opposite of protecting my identity.

if implemented, it would make it far easier for those underbelly id snatching fraudsters to steal my and your ID and become anyone they please.. if they have an exact clone (and it most surley can and would be done) they could become you...

and what's worse is that if someone gained access to the central database they could even swap some (or all) your 'details' with theirs or anyones... and make you into someone else..

imagine what could happen to your life if the system says you're someone else?

how easy would it be to prove to just about everyone that you are who you are if someone out there is saying that they are you?

lack of fundamental science knowlege

yes, i said that.

these scientists do not have sound empirical reasoning.

this is simply because these is a whole sub-section of energy science that has been intentionally ignored and left out of science and education for centuries, and only a small handful of scientists know anything meaningful about this branch of science. (yes, i'm one of them. hehe.. and no, i'm not telling).

hint: energy it more than just abundant. more pure forms of energy are the basic composition of every form of physical existance, and therefore it is far easier than anyone would have thought to 'create' (well, actually convert) many forms of purer energy into electricty, but of course this has been denied, rejected (by virtue of some incorrect (and environment specific) so-called laws of physics, and hidden from us so that we can be centrally controlled and stripped of our independance and wealth.

this has angered me for many years and will be changing soon. nuff said.

thanks James Tankersley Jr

very well put. i'm glad someone is setting the record straight on this. thanks.

my perrsonal understanding is that this CAN most definately present severe risk to fabric of our physical universe, but it all depends on what they do with it and how carefully they tread.

so cern says it safe due to their "empirical reasoning", but as someone astutely pointed out, they cannot predict what will or will not happen to any acceptable degree of certainty, that is the whoile point of the experiment... to find out.

so if they don't really know what will happen, how on earth can they say it's safe?

answer= they can't, and therefore have no business claiming it is safe.

i'm ok with this type of science experimentation, but so long as they UNDERSTAND that it may not be at all safe. and they don't seem to, so how careful will they be?. me thinks not careful enough considering their 'zero risk' attitude.

however, having said that. i am very interested in the results they get and i think that we'll be ok in the end... or some of us at least... hopefully...

Cops cuff anti-drug ninja vigilantes

Sillyfellow

because cops don't do their job

ok, so this pair of 'ninjas' were not being very smart at all, but the fact remains that they, along with more and more people, were doing this because the police would not. nuff said.

my opinion is that even though most people are too stupid, weak and untrained, they STILL feel the need to seek justice and/or protect themselves and family.

for example, when i was victim of credit card fraud, one transaction resulted in a delivery address. on contacting the police, even though this one was on a silver platter for them, they said categorically that 'nothing would be done due to lack of manpower and having to focus on more serious crime"...

so what the hell am i paying tax for? is it surprising that people then want to take things into their own hands? no, it's not, and we will see more and more vigilantees so long as the police dont do their job.

the fact that the police in this story had no interest in the actual criminals these guys were after says it all.

alternative to rfid implant

yes, i'll tell you exactly what is going on here in plain simple terms...

do you recall all of this RFID Implant hoohaa?

which so far hasn't gone down very well at all with us 'common people'..

so it would seem to me that this technology is being evaluated and developed as a potential alternative to rfid implants for tracking your every movement..

soon as it's working well we can expect that our CCTV systems will be 'upgraded' and 'expanded' to have the capability to recognise who you are and thereby track your every move..

never forget that if you have any opinion that is in disagreement with anything the govermnet say or do, then YOU are the enemy. it is YOU the gvt is scared of and needs to control.

someone expressed the opinion that we shouldn't need any passport in the first place. of course they are right unless the aim is to establish division between people of the earth. you should know that, 'total control' by means of 'divide and conquer' and 'keep the masses terrified' is what our unenlightened leadership want.

Did we say you can read that?

it's not the information

that is 'evil'. There is not ANY information that is evil. it is the things that some people do that is evil.

information and learning is always beneficial to better understand things. to progress and move forward/evolve. this is a basic principle called EDUCATION.

stopping anyone from learning anything is not going to prevent some people from doing evil things if they choose to.

understand clearly that this here is a double standard (like so many).. so it's ok for some people (like military and security agencies) to do whatever they want (including shoot people), but it's not ok for anyone else to?

it's ok for the good ol USA & England to have nuclear weapons, but it's not ok for anyone else to have them? WTF !!! bloody self interested idiots are running this world, and we are the 'common people' who have no say, no rights, and little value, and are certainly expendable.

RM gets fingers into school biometrics market

Sillyfellow
Stop

need permission!

I expect any school to require to get (written/signed) permission from any parent or legal guardian of a minor, PRIOR to 'taking their fingerprints' or expecting to make use of biometric systems to 'identify' the child.

And i will expressly DENY permission to do this to any child of mine.

My opinion is that when the child becomes an adult, then they can make this decision weather or not to volunteer their biometrics, and until such a time such things should not be forced apon them, as this could potentially impact the rest of their lives and put their 'personal details/information' at risk of loss/theft.

foot stamped down on this one, and i will NEVER budge on my position regarding such things when it is minors we are talking about.

It's official: The Home Office is listening

Sillyfellow

if something is secret then how do we know that!!

lol. Tom Welsh has it exactly right.

My question is this:

if we combine 2 'common knowlege' (unclassified) pieces of information or concepts together, and the result is already a 'classified secret', how in the name of sane reason are we supposed to know that this 'secret' even exists, and that we have therefore broken the law??

is it just me, or is that just plain ridiculous and completely unreasonable?

so this means that any good inventor who invents anything that the government don't like or want, (like a simple free-energy generator for example), who decides to publish this information, will be arrested by the govt (and no doubt tortured to teach him/her a lesson), who will claim that what he/she has published is 'classified information'.

even if that was a lie on the part of government, due to that 'being a secret', how would anyone know or prove the government lied in the first place?

simple answer: they can't.

what implications does this have to us, the general public?.. work that one out for yourself.

to our governments we are just lowly salves/resources who they get their money from, and who need to be occasionally appeased or diciplined as gvt feel fit. and we have NO RIGHTS if that is what they decide, regardless of what they say to the contrary (if they even bother doing this any more).

Microsoft slams 'sensationalist' Vista analysis

Sillyfellow

vista is rubbish

i have been using/testing Vista for like 12 months or so on my primary laptop (with decent specs/resources), and i absolutely HATE it.

moreover, i will not advocate or support it's use in our corporate environment

(just mine has been headache enough thanks!)

like most comments here regarding Vista mine are all negative.

besides being terribly slow (in comparison to XP), having many networking related issues, and dodgy drivers and much less compatable software (that actually works correctly on Vista)..

what's up with the HUGE DELAYS in vista when doing many things like 'new email in outlook' or clicking on the drop-down on the IE address bar, or copying any file, or copy/paste plain unformatted text??

it's as if the stupid thing won't let me do what i need until it has covertly been able to connect to MS servers to tell them about these actions first...

..click on usual button/function, see the 'wait' cursor.. go off to put kettle on..

this is the usual MO with using Vista. it is totally slow, untrustworthy and unreliable and MS should discontinue it altogether. what would we do then.?. simple keep using XP which works well.

paranoid? maybe.

i am very used to various OS behaviours and Vista's is very very suspicious as well as just plain painful.

i usually have to revert to using my much older XP machine to get things done efficiently and without running into holdups or issues.

these days it is us, the intelegent free thinkers, who are viewed as the primary enemy. of course gvt will never admit to this, but do they need to?. no. because actions speak louder than words.

we are well aware that most 'words' of government are total lies.

these technologies would both significantly reduce pollution and set us free of overcharging centralised (and inefficient) power providers (which gvt don't want to do), and in addition there would be absolutely no need for wind farms or nuclear power plants.

is a really really uber-daft comment. there are many many many problems facing the planet, and they are ALL real.

the view you present of choosing one particular problem and ignoring the others is not very smart at all..

..do you mean that it's humans who are the problem that should be eliminated or delt with? if so, since we can't do that easily on a practical level, we'll have to settle for having to deal with the many various problems caused by us humans, as well as trying to educate people to not do those things in the first place.

think about it... if China wanted easy access to USA fbi (and other sensitive) networks.. all they would have to do is to manage to sell fake (but convincing and fully working) networking gear to them to implement on their networks...

EU wants RFID tags turned off

Sillyfellow

yay! but i don't believe it will happen.

fantastic news! for once the EU is actually proposing something that is intended to give us back some freedoms and privacy.

however, i for one can't see this actually becomming reality, especially here in UK. my reasoning? simple...

i've been watching closely how the UK government are pushing very hard for more RFID tracking of it's citizens/residents. (like the new passports and oyster cards for example)..

and that's nothing. the UK gvt want us all to have rfid chips implanted into us, and are currently pushing to make it law that anyone convicted of a crime must be 'tagged' with one... and that's just the beginning!

the UK gvt need general acceptance of this technology to eventually get away with this plan, and this porposed EU law (especially the part about any RFID enabled product be clearly labelled) does exactly the opposite.

it opens people's eyes to the fact that rfid tracking is unethical invasion of privacy, and very undesirable.

ok, i realise that they're talking about consumer products and not 'government' ID and such (which will no doubt be exempt from this), however my point about the general 'acceptance' of the technology is valid.

to Stuart Van Onselen

i'm used to attitudes like you display, and still stand by what i said.

chemtrails COULD be causing decline in bee populations.

chemtrails are very real despite claims they don't exist, and since we don't know what's being dumped, it's reasonable to think that it's not always the same 'stuff' being dumped. perhaps some new compounds are being used that are causing dammage.

we didn't know forsure what was being dumped 40 years ago, and still don't.

people who have analysed chemtrail fallout say that there are so many organic and chemical substances in there that they can only name a few of them.

you can think what you like of me, but i can think for myself and actually care about my family and our environment enough to speak out. knowing that some people (like you) out there will call me a 'loony'. shows how much you know!!

i've also heard people saying that they think that Chemtrails may be killing the bees.

Chemtrails are the common name for the prolific and intentional dumping of 'unknown stuff' out of aircraft into our skies.. this dumping is categorically denied by our govenments and military (so it couldn't possibly that, because it don't exist), but if you know anything about physics and contrails, you know that chemtrails are very real. just look up into the sky sometime and take note.

who knows what damage that these chemtrails are causing.

haha, well spotted there Aaron.

social networking analysis is top priority to all 'authorities'. of course it is, because it is really dangerous to them. if people get together in large numbers they can do a lot, so this has to be closely monitored, controlled and censored.

eg. our comments have to be 'reviewed', censored and even reported to 'authorities' in some cases.

doesn't it ElReg?

ever heard of chemtrails? maybe.

ever publish a word about chemtrails? of course not. nobody will.

no freedom of speech?

i think this is more to do with him 'insulting' the police than anything else.

once apon a time there was such a thing as Freedom Of Speech, when it was permitted for a person to say whatever they want. nobody had to listen if they didn't want to.

well.. now with the: new order UK police state, over-the-top political correctness; and no longer being allowed to say anything that offends anyone (especially about government, military or police).

freedom of speech is no more.

our various 'authorities' want and need to control us totally. even what we say.

the reason for that is because communications are so much better and people are starting to realise the truth of how very much we're being manipulated and controlled, by a few greedy and corrupt individuals and groups (who don't care about us at all. we are only slaves to them).

they are afraid that the general public will learn the truth and rebel.

this is what this is really all about !

and what will be done?

oh, great.

so they admit it's a real big problem, and then go on to say that basically there's nothing that can be done about it... and i can guarantee nothing will be done about it.

considering how countries police forces collaborate in so many cases and ways, i think something CAN and must be done about it, but yet still no effort will even be made. why? because our various forces are too busy 'attending to more serious crime' (sitting in pubs looking for drunks, tasering folks for fun, searching dustbins for missing cd's, and chasing about imaginary terrorists) to do anything about it.

that is what i was told when i got fraudulated recently.

so what exactly am i paying tax for?

since pretty soon we'll probably even have to pay seperately for garbage to be collected, then whatever the money is being spent on, it's not what WE expect it to be spent on.

our UK govenment and forces have their priorities totally wrong.

they have forgotten that they are supposed to be working for us, and they think that we work for them.
