Re: Well argued, but..
It's what would have been called in the old days "a diversion".
Re: Another bit that isn't original
I'm off to trademark "Thrud the Barbarian"
Re: Error in title
Many, many years there used to be a CB (remember them) magazine that had a comic strip called Buck Fusby which was a piss-take of BT's mascot at the time, Busby. Buck had a brother called Wusby and I always remember the line "Wusby is a banker"
Re: "sound one and will be done very successfully by somebody else one day"
CIX is still around too...
Re: Oh
The real Phil Mitchell would just go round and break his knees...
Re: Honors? Honored!
"Don't know why you (controversially) saw different."
My guess would be time difference.
Great...
I was always worried that those photos of cupcakes would not be available to the hoi polloi
Re: Microsoft?
"MS has a lot to loose if Dell stumbles and falls."
Maybe a quick tighten is all that is needed then.
Re: You've written your favourite order of captains??
ah- the Big Bang Effect.
Heathen!
It's Captain Pike or nothing for me ;)
Holy crap...
Not Derek. That has to be the worst show on TV right now. Starring Ricky "I was funny, once" Gervais and Karl "I'm so desperate to be on telly" Pilkington.
Re: Even if the parent's knew how to restict their childs phone...
I agree with you, however my wife says it would be unfair for our daughter not to have a mobile as most of her class has one. I pointed out to my wife that as she attended a CyberBullying in Schools seminar last week, then she should understand why not letting our daughter have a mobile is a good idea.
Re: Lack of faith
I've seen a MakerBot made from a MakerBot. But obviously it was smaller than the original.
Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I have access to a 3d scanner- A Leica HDS C10. But at €70,000, it might be a little expensive for the average hobbyist.
Re: The FBI thinks they're being polite
My guess is Mossad didn't like the cold.
Re: Well...
Err- America tried to be naughty and Iceland Bjorked them...
Re: Missing the point
>Rule 34 by Charles Stross where he has come up with VR system for the police, "CopSpace"...
"My god, it's full of stairs..."
sorry
Re: Ghost In The Shell...
:) we need to photoshop some mirrored eyeballs into Alistairs profile pic...
Ghost In The Shell...
Dabbsie as Bateau? I'm slightly terrified by this concept.
Agreed- I always thought that the Trust was in place to stop exactly this kind of thing from happening.
Re: Google Docs...
Believe me, there's nothing important there. If Google wants it they are welcome to it.
"Doctor- Cybermen have inflitrated the TARDIS..."
"I DON'T BELIEVE IT!"
Re: I love that prop.
In fairness it was meant to be a discarded policebox in a junk-yard- this was years before the 'chameleon circuit malfunction' story came up.
And yet...
...when the odd snake turns the tables on one of the little furry feckers, all hell breaks loose...
Re: PDFs
PrimoPDF or Foxit Editor both allowed output from Word for ages.
Google Docs...
I'm finding Google Docs more than capable for the odd use I have. And it comes with collaboration built in. And is platform agnostic.
In fairness, their motion controller gimmick was pretty awesome. However, the article is spot on, since my daughters got an iPod (the eldest) and a Android Tab (the youngest) I don't think the Wii has been switched on once.
In other news- anyone notice how all the kids are playing MineCraft these days??? Take that, Club Penguin, Moshi Monsters, Panfu, Bin Weevils and all the rest.
Re: Finally
I just hope they've fixed the issues with the OS going deaf for several seconds; and then processing all the multiple screen-taps. iOS6 has been one miserable experience.
Re: Pound sign
possibly right- I also seem to vaguely remember some hack by sticking a locale or charset command into autoexec.bat.
I made a couple of quid by writing an old GWBasic program which sent a command to the printer telling it to print a pound sign whenever a dollar sign was received.
Re: I'm sorry...
And yet a quick google turns this up:
http://www.safeconcerts.com/tickets/directory/hydeparkconcerts-com/
Can say anything about the ranking because it's been there 3 years. However it would appear that while the warning was put up in February, people were continuing to use (and get scammed) as late as June (from the few sites I looked at).
There's 'trust' and there's 'diligence'.
I'm sorry...
...but I find it hard to feel any sympathy for the victims. The only thing that TicketBastard does right is give a 'legitimate' source for tickets (I never thought I'd be arguing for TicketBastard).
Re: The guy went a bit overboard
I seem to remember that Angel Dust is the preferred tipple of your average America carney.
@Jake
"They had the nutter subdued, with no deaths & minimal damage."
He started masturbating AFTER the shots were fired. What part of that indicates that he was 'subdued'?
they could be 6/7 for all we know.
Re: ...the septics are fond of prosecuting you...
'yank' comes from the dutch 'Jankees'; a common name/nickname for the settlers.
Great article...
if you are doing requests- can you do Ashton Tate next (same rags to riches to rags story)
Re: She said "graph"
yes, graphy, graphy, graph, graph.
If they say it often enough, it must mean something, right?
Re: Saucy
Remember who is asking for this (and making lots of money)- It's lawyers versus lawyers. Both sides employ them so they might as well get some use out of them. And I'm sure both sides have some form of war chest to cover the costs of the 40 ongoing cases, and it's a fraction of their profit.
So...
...no replacement for quote marks in arabic.
Re: Burns night
and high on haggis.
I miss haggis.
Re: Don't have a Tv Licence... Love Netflix
I thought you needed to have a license as long as you owned equipment that was capable of receiving a TV signal (TV, DVR etc). As long as you are playing Netflix on a PC, or phone, or tablet, you should be okay.
Re: Hang on...
should really read RIGHT to the end before commenting.
Oh, and Alistair- you're a bastard. I've got that song stuck in my head now.
Hang on...
Did Dabbsie just reference Haysi Fantayzee???
Re: I've watched it carefully
An excellent film, worthy of a rewatch.
Also the reason why I kept giggling at my Spanish teacher when she was teaching me the word for 'neither'.
Re: He makes Chilli Jam !
Chilli jame shouldn't be too hard to make. Like most jams it will be fruit (in this case chilli), sugar and pectin. I'd roast and skin the chilli's first just to get an added depth to the flavour. And don't forget to leave in the seeds; Only wussies deseed their chillis.
hmmm....
A whole article about a restaurant in Aberdeen, which serves haggis, and not a mention of the fact that it's Burns' Night tonight.
Re: I'm impressed
"Let them tax cake!"
Well...
They can relaunch a turd as many times as they want, it's still not going to smell of roses.
Reminds me of the say "You can't polish a turd but you can roll it in glitter". Maybe that's what they are doing.
