Yeah, this has been 'sensational' headline news all over Canada for a week or so. First time I heard it, he said something about deciding to do it because he couldn't get his son to put down the iPhone or iPad (can't remember which) and go outside, and all I thought was 'then don't give your preschool kids tablets and phones.'

You're talking about a company that has just started installing an add-on in their cars that is only of use to iProduct users (the Siri button), so they seem to like supporting standards that will only help some of their customers and be a useless expense to others

Andy Prough - maybe read up on the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Bill does a lot more than give out coupons for software.

We have a pile of brand new 5755's here and the UI is horrendous. On the 3" x 4" screen, important notifications like "Sorry, I don't have that paper size" or "I'm out of toner" are written in 5 point black type above the 'main menu' area, so nobody notices them, then phones me to complain.
Not sure what's so hard about a window popping up on the screen to let users what's (not) going on
