DIY satellite TV installer shoots wife dead

Paris Hilton

@ He did what?

I plan to fit a satellite dish shortly. It seems to me safer to drill the hole for the cable from inside. That way, I know I'm not going to drill through a mains cable.

Paris because she's a dish.

Anonymous John

Well if he can shoot his wife through a wall,

he woudn't have had a problem lining up the dish on the satellite.

Religious MPs get free vote on hybrid embryos

Anonymous John

Re Hybrids won't help

All that's being proposed is producing human stem cells from say human skin cells inserted into an animal egg..An egg with most of the animal DNA removed.

Not really a hybrid in my opinion. I think the scientists have shot themselves in the foot by using the word.

Digital TV sales soar as Brits flock to Freeview

Anonymous John
Paris Hilton

Er, no

I've just bought a flat screen TV only because it's HD. No digital TV from my local transmitter until 2012, and possibly never.

I'll be going digital when Freesat gets off its backside and starts its satellite service.

Paris, as she can't get Freeview either.

Space Shuttle Endeavour on its way

Anonymous John

Re Why the nighttime launch?

This is actually the eighth flight since the Columbia disaster. And the second night launch since then. The cameras can photograph falling foam even at night. And the Shuttle is checked three times in orbit for tile damage.

There's also the growing evidence that the foam shedding problem has been largely sorted. The Shuttle is now a safer vehicle than it's ever been.

A daylight launch yesterday couldn't have been put into a suitable orbit to dock with the ISS.

Schools warned of chilling 'Strawberry Meth' menace

Anonymous John

According to some sources, such as

http://www.oxfordmail.net/display.var.2093008.0.police_in_school_drugs_scare_blunder.php,

two children in Oxfordshire had actually been admitted to hospital. So it's a hoax that someone local had embellished for some reason.

A few years back Sussex plod passed on the hoax about a woman claiming that her car had broken down, knocking on doors and phoning her own £50pm minute premium rate phone line. Also with two imaginary local victims.

Earthquake

A major earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale hit in the early hours of Wednesday 27th February 2008.

Epicentre: Market Rasen Lincolnshire. Victims were seen wandering around aimlessly

muttering "fackin ell" and "whatta cant" The earthquake decimated the area causing approximately £30.00 worth of damage.

Many locals were woken well before their Giro arrived. Local FM News reported that hundreds of residents were confused and bewildered still trying to come to terms with the fact that something interesting had happened in Market Rasen.

One resident - Tracy Sharon Smith, a 15-year-old mother of 5 said "It was such a shock, my little Chardonnay Mercedes came running into my bedroom crying. My youngest two, Tyler-Morgan and Megan-Storm slept through it ll. I was still shaking when I was watching Kilroy the next morning."

Apparently though, looting, muggings and car crime did carry on as normal.
