A Dyson may be completely dismantled with an appropriately sized Torx driver. Fixing them is simple.

Dismantling the cyclonic bits, cleaning thoroughly and reassembling usually does the trick. The thing that's fatal to them is anything wet, particularly fruit squash. It combines with the dust in the small channels that form the cyclones at the top of the assembly and sets, bunging the the thing up.

Less chest mounted, more held there being the typical Hasselblad medium frame type. Oddly enough, chosen as it's damned sight *easier* to compose with when in a spacesuit than yer more typical viewfinder.

Strong sunlight (much stronger than anyhing you'll see down here) = high shutter speeds *and* large depth-of-field (enough to make manual focussing pretty much a non-issue) at the same time, especially when combined the larger lens and film frame size of the camera format which already capture more light than yer "bog" 35mm SLR. Thus it's waay more forgiving in use.

The things were built specifically for the extreme environment on a money no object basis, so it's not surprising they worked in same.

Of course, if you really were a photographer you'd know most of that. Were you faked by NASA?

Ah yes, that old chestnut. Find an old WinMo device and install MS Voice Command. Chuck the result at Google with a note attached saying: "Like this, stupid.".

That should sort it. Nothing else I've tried comes anywhere near the sheer simplicity[1] and comprehensive recognition of esoteric names pronounced very badly that MSVC has. Runs perfectly on antique shit with one-lung processors and bugger all memory too. You'd never guess it was a MS product.

Trouble is, I'm stuck with bloody WinMo while waiting for someone else to get it right. Maybe MS would like to port VC to Android? Pretty please?
