Brits 'a bunch of yellow bastards', says irate Yank

Hilarious

Where do you find these jokers?! He says "didn't give up our rights" which is all well and good... but he is refering to a country where you can't even play poker online right? Or spreadbet? We still have the "right" to do those things you plonker.

Google Images

I've submitted this URL to IWF:

I'm curious to know what their response will, or most likely won't, be.

@ Elrond Hubbard

Surely your own country should sort out it's own censoring issues (internet gambling anyone?) before telling us to run our own matters.

Thumb Up

Good article

Thank you for a fair minded and thought provoking piece.

Brit ISPs censor Wikipedia over 'child porn' album cover

Nevermind

As people have touched on before, there is a photo of a little boy naked here:

It is not censored. The lack of consistency is the issue.

Deloitte loses hundreds of thousands of pension details

Deloitte

I work for a similar firm to Deloitte. Deloitte use Windows XP Pro's inbuilt EFS encryption. I'm sure people far cleverer than I will be able to comment on how secure that is or isn't.

All locally saved emails, and all working papers are stored on the hard drive in encrypted folders.

Regards why there is a need for anything to be saved locally, greenmantle has hit the nail on the head. Unless clients can guarantee decent wired (and wireless - auditors spend as much time with their laptops chatting to client staff as they do sat in an office) connections it is entirely impractical. And however good 3G dongles are, their coverage and uptime are somewhere short of being 100% in some of the shit holes they'll have to work.

Laptops get nicked... if the data is encrypted is it even news worthy??

O2 starts 3G iPhone stampede - and runs away

CPW

Got a 16GB iPhone ordered from CPW with no problems... well my card was declined the first time but no probs when I tried again!

And I can pick up from my local store, happy days indeed!

Apple under the gun to master the iPhone's 'second album'

Hmm

There is no comparison between internet on Opera on my N95 and internet on Safari on my iPod Touch. No comparison at all! Apple are miles ahead in this department.

O2 to offer £100 iPhone... in time for Xmas?

Ed
Jobs Halo

Hang on a minute...

I'd just like to agree with Paul's post above. If the new iPhone won't hit the UK until Christmas then why on earth are 1st gen iPhones as elusive as rocking horse shit 6 months before the replacement launches?

On a different note, my iPod Touch has just died a death which strikes me as great timing - I'll get a replacement from the shops tomorrow, sell the brand new replacement on eBay, and have the cash ready for the iPhone release. Never been so happy to have tech die on me!

US imposes 72 hour pre-reg for Visa waiver travellers

Cambodia

Just thought I'd give Cambodia a quick shout out for their E-Visa system. I went travelling through South East Asia last year, whilst I was looking at visa requirements, I stumbled across the Cambodian E-Visa.

Fill in a little form on the website, upload a passport picture, pay 25US$ via PayPal, and they email you a visa to print out and stick in your passport. Absolutely brilliant, and whole process took under an hour from placing the order to receiving my visa.

The iPhone arrives, but is O2 being taken for a ride?

Re: just not true

Umm... the article said 8gb iPod Nano, not 8gb iPod Touch. The article is correct.
