Good Business Move Need Not Equate Good Technical Move

As I said, building on top of J2ME would have been the good business thing to, maybe not the technical best thing, but at least there wouldn't be any uncertainty going forward. Look at RIM, they basically use a J2ME stack with all of their other APIs built on top of that. That approach actually works great and more importantly they don't have to worry about any Java patent suits!
