A member of my team lives in Connecticut, USA. Paid someone 500US$ to clear the ice and snow off the roof of his house so it would stop leaking and (hopefully) not collapse.
Never mind the gutters - they are also full of ice, but at least they didn't fall off.

Sometimes it boggles the mind. Who would think that cold weather and flying snow keeps folks inside snuggled up with hot toddies and nachos? I think what really took the moronic bureaucrats in D.C. by surprise is that this winter weather occurred in January. Who could have foreseen such anomalous weather patterns? The pols were clearly expecting most folks to be out in t-shirt and shorts toiling away and looking forward to that weekend waltz on the beach followed by shopping and fine dining in the evening.
