      I grew up in Aberlour!

      So you can imagine my surprise to read my home town's name (and the whisky produced at the West end of the town) being mentioned on El Reg, and in a quote from a German smutt-site, no less!

      I shall be sure to point this out to my friends who still live there :)

    Actually, this is quite a common problem. Whenever a domain name is abandoned, it is immediately picked up by prOn peddlers. So any domain name set up for a time-limited cause and then released is going to have this problem.

    It's not a coincidence.

    The domain on our old company name ran out - the hosting company immediately put a gay porn site at that address and kept sending us letters about how it wasn't too late to renew - at ever increasing prices.

      I don't think it's supposed to make sense in german either, it looks like some kind of google salting attempt. Creating a page full of unique text and porn keywords with lots of links to the sites being promoted.

      Perhaps "postal 2 single player" is a typo for "portal 2 single player" and people playing that are a prime market for german porn?

    It's still there on the Henry Smith page, alongside the link to this article, but it does open the question of how they get that auto news feed. It's rather ripe for creating "alternative stories" about said MP and having them all appear down the side of his page... :-)

    Somehow I think the web designers are going to be getting a phone call in the morning about that.

    So the unit of measurement of pornography is the "ream".

    Consulting a dictionary, I find that (1) a ream contains a minimum of twenty quires and (2) apart from that, it's substantially worse than I thought. Ouch.

    Buit a quire isn't whatever you're thinking it is - unless you work with stationery, of course. (And I don't mean just because the cupboard where you keep it locks from the inside.)
