back to article Feds move in on elite iPad email leak

The FBI has moved in to investigate the leaking of email details for the most important tech users in the world - iPad 3G owners. AT&T admitted on Wednesday that a data breach meant hackers had been able to access the email addresses and ICC-IDs of its iPad 3G owning customers - all 114,000 of them. ValleyWag helpfully …

    I'm shocked

"expose America's political and cultural elite as a bunch of brand-following fanbois"

I'm shocked someone spoke the brutal truth. Considering those people usually don't really like to think themselves and LOVE to be ordered around, it is perfect statement.

How pissed Steve is gonna be?

Steve Ballmer is gonna be laughing.

I'm already laughing to see who shelled out the money for a big iPhone.

      I'm laughing too

at anyone who actually thinks the iPad is a big iPhone.

        I'm laughing... three?

...at anyone that thinks the iPad is anything _but_ an over-sized iPhone.

/cannot believe anyone would want an iPad over more useful tablet-type devices

//anon as obvious troll is obvious

        Big iPhone...

...no of course it's not - you can't use it as a phone stoopid.

Agreed, an iPhone is a lot more useful

It's far closer to a big iPod touch

Did you even read the article?

AT&T was hacked, NOT Apple. And exactly what legal shenanigans are you talking about? The one where Gawker Media bought stolen property? The one where a blogger tried to hide behind the journalistic shield law after committing a crime?

Maybe you should understand technology and legal matters better before commenting on either of them. Or at least be honest and just say "I blindly hate Apple" and leave it at that.

You should really get yourself up on the facts then

This is purely an AT&T mistake.

    Verizon will be

the one who is laughing ;-) And AT&T , oh dear this could be a very very costly mistake. Would be enough for me to switch providers.

And it is no surprise that the FBI is involved as this is very serious, I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised that in the US AT&T would have needed to obtain a status to the equivalent of listX in the UK. Having had their infrastructure compromised and loosing data that way oops...

I guess the IPS vendors will be queueing up, hmmm wonder whether AT&T sells to AT&T...
