    If you know already what it's meant to represent and see that. Otherwise it's just an eye. So surely, the obscenity is in the eye of the beholder, not the advert??

      From what I remember, youthful minds see dolphins, adults see something else entirely. I'd say that eye advert is perfectly acceptable.

    So what #@*t thought that a sideways glance was actually something else winking at him?

    Not that I'd endorse the Hefner Empire but it's an advertising campaign that hit the (G) spot and got them excited. Probably worth more than the inital cost of the advert.

    Well done to Penthouse for such a smash hit billboard. I for one have emailed the link to about 100 people (yes, who cares about the load on corporate IT systems).

    For the cost of a crappy billboard in some eastern european rightwing, over moralising, doublestandards-infested flea pit, they have world wide coverage.

    Brilliance. +1 to that ad agency.

    (now might print a copy of the advert and go to the toilet)

    We were discussing this the other day (I am from Bulgaria) and I think the fuss they are making is ridiculous. It's not like there haven't been worse cases than this, for example, a chalga singer evidently not wearing panties in a video, so I'm just wondering how these people pick out their battles.

    Anyway, I think the Penthouse ad is pretty creative.

    They can fix it

    They should change the poster and display a vagina that pretends to be an eye (i.e. in horizontal position). They could draw a pair of glasses on top, just to confuse people even more. That should teach them.
