    Whitelisted malware?

    One problem here - Computrace Anti-theft bios rootkit is white-listed by AV companies, and has been so for a few years till now. Sony's XCP was white-listed as well until Mark Russinovich made a lot of fuss on his blog. If corporations can get whatever they want to be not detected by AV, then surely a government can do as well. And more effectively.

    No rootkits or hidden files should be allowed on the system...ever. Same way with multiple-install programs....program A slides in program B and C....craptastic.

    It's interesting that the aim is to tap at the end points of a conversation. It appears Skype traffic in transit is safe, or that's what they want us to believe..

    Assuming most terrorist don't click on too many porn links, drug dealers don't click on viagra.exe attachments an international crime bosses aren't taken in by 19 scamers this is really non-news.

    If I can get you to install admin apps for me I pretty much own your computer.

    There is no reason not to believe that Skype could turn on the microphone and camera even outside of calls, thus monitoring your room.

    The internet is not safe, will never be 100 percent safe and anyone putting personal information into credit card sales, phone calls or other is simply stupid. Even the damn terrorists know that.

    The IT government Nazi's are aware of this and simply love it.
