    Where do you start

The use of 'muff-hungry' is pure genius it's a shame there was no angle for getting the phrase 'all you can eat muff buffet', enough of my dreams though.

    FAIL

    Got another one...

Mary Jane Lane. County tried extra tall sign poles, special bolts, they even greased the poles - no good. The idea that dopers are lazy just didn't apply in this case. The county really wanted the residents to change the name.

    Cheers

    The meaning of Muff

I have heard of several origins for the word "muff" but it was only when I moved to France that I discovered it is from the French word, "Meuf", which means woman. In French there is a commonly used slang/street-talk called Verlan which simply inverts the word. In this slang "Femme" becomes "Meuf". So in French it is not vulgar to call one's girlfriend, "ma meuf".
