NebuAd was formed (Phormed?) from the ashes of Claria and their spyware products. Now Insight Ready is formed from the ashes of NebuAd? Gee, why? To keep whatever remaining VC money out of the clutches of the lawsuits?
When NebuAd shut down, it said it was moving toward a more traditional model. Now here we have the former NebuAd in a more traditional model.

That's the rub.
They are targeting their marketing/sales push at the website owners. Sign up and they'll pay you cash so that they can monitor your users as they access your website.
As much as we don't like it, how do you stop a website owner from recording and maintaining data about how a user (you) interacts with his/her website.
The only way to stop it is to stop using that website.
Since the tracking is done via a 'magic pixel'... one could imagine that one could find a filter to stop the tracking like using noscript and blocking google analytics from running in your browser.
I mean, it's not like anyone else is doing something similar, is it, so they're bound to be a resounding success with such an original idea.
I find it hard to believe a way of blocking this won't be found in about 10 minutes, and any view of the web they did have would be patchy and highly selective. And any site that gets caught doing it is going to be a bit of a pariah, given their origins.
How long till pricks like this are forced to resort to staring through bedroom windows and writing URLs down in a note book?
