Well i wonder why
MP's are not particularly interested in providing funding to combat fraud? Its a mystery?
Seems to me that, to quote someone else, 'Guy Fawkes was the last man to enter parliament with honourable intentions'
The newly established Police Central e-crime Unit is unlikely to get increased UK government funding, according to a response to questions in the House by the Home Secretary on Tuesday. The reply by Jacqui Smith is a sign that the present home secretary is less inclined to invest in the nascent unit than her predecessor David …
Be in no doubt that these are the Good Guys, and the creation of the PCeU was long, long overdue. I have worked with them recently and they really do know their stuff. But they are absolutely crippled by a lack of resources. Yes, industry experts can help.. and if you make a report to the PCeU it will very much help your case if you can do a lot of the leg-work yourself. But really, they are dealing with billions of pounds worth of crime every year and they need proper funding.
As for Wacky Jacqui.. well, let's be blunt: she's thick. She has no idea about e-crime, technology or really anything else.. including her husband's predilection for grumble flicks. The sooner she gets fired, the better in my view.
Why would Wacky Jackie allow more money to combat e-fraud?
It's possibly the only method the MP's and ministers currently have left to hide all their ill gotten possibly fraudulent expense 'rewards' from the public. Who knows what further secrets are yet to be discovered?
I wonder if any have Swiss bank accounts?
Paris because at least she has got a few cells up top. As for Jacky ......
It's curious that despite various moves to control the internet and monitor its users so little is being done to stop relatively widespread e-crime. Why should measures to combat paedophilia, pornography, terrorism and copyright theft be getting such high-profile attention and funding while fraud gets so little?
Is Cromwell's ghost along with a bunch of puritans perhaps still whispering around in the corridors of power?
That could be interesting, are they wasting the money themselves?
1 Chandelier
1 Moat (keep hackers out)
10 boxes of nappies (well everyone is doing it)

You don't get it do you. Once the billions have been spent on ID cards, there won't be a need for an e-crime unit because there will be no e-crime or terrorism.. Have you not been listening to anything the government has been saying? Pay more attention in class and don't forget to vote Labour in the June elections.
Maybe the e-unit should have writ something along lines of...
"For each 1 GBP invested in us we will return to the state 3 GBP in terms of fines and avoid the 3k GBP costs associated with imprisoning culprits.
We will ensure maximal returns on investments to the Treasury."
Additionally?
"For each xk GBP invested we will provide online protection for all ministers with online analysis of expenses submitted"
