Police not interested in online fraud

I run several online eCommerce sites, and regularly get obviously fraudulent orders placed with stolen credit cards. Despite have the "perps" contact details via the delivery address, the police just arent interested in me reporting these incidents having tried several times.

    Wrong way round

They should be investigating crimes BY business, e.g. data loss, phorm/BT

    @Neil Spellings

Of course the Police aren't interested in these incidents, there's no Government targets for them to meet...

    Easy fix

Report the crime to the one with the highest page-ranking on Google.

My, there are a lot of reports _on_ cybercrime out there.

    Dixon, you're playing catchup....

So, the old bill are only about 5 or 6 years behind the cybercrims in terms of sophistication and ability. Having said that, the team I worked with were more like extra strength private investigators rather than up to any mass scamming of innocent idiots.

Oh and the OBs personnel databases are running wild and free so if you're a copper and you're reading this, show a bit of respect when you're dealing with an IT person. They might not need your official complaints procedure to express their displeasure.

    We're doomed, Mr Mannering!

Just hope they do better than the tw@ who cost me my job - told an Internal Disciplinary Board and then an Industrial Tribunal that it must have been me that put pr0n on my work machine because nobody could have accessed my networked Windows PC without sitting at my desk and being seen to do it, despite me telling him who did it and when it was done.

And this fantastically well-informed, knowledgeable butthole was Chief Information Security Officer for one of Browning Street's favourite American Outsourcers...

    Bobbies on the beat

Cheaper than having a bunch of bobbies on trains picking up stray briefcases and laptops, but less effective, I would guess.

well tried concept of neighbourhood-focused community policing

Yes, we know how well that works....if you need a clubbing just let us know.

Meanwhile, they need someone to monitor the buses, trains, and cabs to pick up lost gubmint

    secrets as they're being dropped.
