I have to give Samsung some respect.
By my count, thirty-five to thirty-eight Note 7s had exploded before Samsung stopped shipping them. Two days later, Samsung had started its own recall. I doubt I'd have the 'nads to recall 2.5 million phones over problems with <50.
Incidentally, the FAA advised against using or charging during flights six days after Samsung started its recall. The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued their recall a week after that.
