    Um.

    So building huge scale storage is difficult.

    And small percentage failures multiplied enough times tend to become certainties.

      A bit unfair, the story is sort of "large IT task assessed, system designed and tested, move completed successfully, very little to scream about but good to see some serious people, do proper engineering.

      The fact that some of the biggest bottlenecks occurred in the physical universe is a nice reminder that the cloud is "out there" just not very far out.
